- Animal PracticeVeterinary medicine, also called veterinary science, medical specialty concerned with the prevention, control, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the health of domestic and wild animals and with the prevention of transmission of animal diseases to people.
- Regular ExamsA routine wellness exam is a physical examination or checkup for your pet. Physical exams help to keep your pet healthy by giving your vet regular opportunities to check your pet for early signs of disease, and to monitor your pet's overall health.
- Orthopedic SurgeryVeterinary orthopedic surgery deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions related to a pet's musculoskeletal system — including bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons.
- Diagnostic ImagingThey are often used to help detect fractures, tumors, injuries, infections, and deformities. Although radiographs may not give enough information to determine the exact cause of your pet's problem, they can help your veterinarian determine which other tests may be needed to make a diagnosis.
- X-RayX-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation, similar to visible light. Unlike light, however, x-rays have higher energy and can pass through most objects, including the body. Medical x-rays are used to generate images of tissues and structures inside the body.
- Hydro TherapyAquatic therapy offers a gentle, low-impact exercise option that alleviates the stress placed on aging joints and bones. The buoyancy provided by water reduces the weight-bearing load, allowing dogs to move more freely without discomfort.
- On-Site Pharmacy
- Wellness ExamsRegular Wellness Exams Are Important. Early detection reduces the severity of diseases like kidney disease, arthritis, diabetes, dental disease, obesity, and ear infection.
- Vaccination And PreventionVaccination offers an effective, inexpensive way to prevent a deadly disease from harming the animals in their care. These medicines are foundational to any animal health program, with the benefits extending even to public health.
- Spay & NeutersSpaying is the removal of the female pet's reproductive organs, while neutering refers to the procedure for male pets. When a female dog is spayed, the vet removes her ovaries and usually her uterus as well. When neutering a dog, both testicles are removed.
- Soft Tissue SurgeryProbably the most common soft tissue surgery performed on pets is the removal of masses, or lumps Other soft tissue surgeries include exploratory surgery and gastronomy/enterotomy (incisions made into the stomach or intestine) to remove foreign bodies.
- Laser TherapyLaser therapy is used to treat acute and chronic conditions as well as post-activity recovery. It is also used as another option to prescription drugs, a tool to prolong the need for some surgeries, as well as pre and post surgery treatment to help control pain and swelling.
- Puppy And Kitten CareAt each visit, your veterinarian will weigh your pet and offer suggestions for the best type of food and treats for optimum growth and vigor. An appropriate diet is necessary for a healthy puppy or kitten and good quality pet food is important.
- Flea And Tick PreventionFlea and tick prevention consists of a variety of products used to control flea and/or tick infestations on your pet and to prevent infestations inside your home. Fleas are small insects that are parasitic; they feed on blood from animals and/or people.
- Emergency Veterinary CareThe emergency veterinarian is a specialist that provides medical care to animal patients at animal hospitals and emergency clinics. It's also typical for emergency veterinarians to work with veterinary internal medicine specialists and surgeons at larger veterinary hospitals.
- Routine Preventative CareIn most cases, preventative care requires a routine visit to your vet to complete a wellness exam, get needed vaccinations, treat or test for potential parasites, and receive prescription medications.
- Pet UltrasoundUltrasounds look at a pet's organs and allow veterinarians to locate, assess, and diagnose pregnancy, tumors, blockages, or other internal events. Ultrasounds can pick up information better than x-rays.
- Surgical ProceduresWe provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Taking all necessary precautions to ensure that your pet receives a safe anesthetic. We perform a physical exam and preanesthetic testing before surgery and monitor your pet during and after surgery.
- DiagnosticsVeterinarians use a variety of veterinary tools to diagnose disease, to monitor disease progression or response to therapy, and to screen for the presence of underlying disease in apparently healthy animals.
- Veterinary SurgeonsVeterinary surgeons in general practice carry out a wide range of tasks from promoting and maintaining the health of animals through to diagnosing and treating sick and injured animals. Other tasks include: Operating on sick or injured animals. Neuter animals to prevent them from breeding.
- Veterinary PracticeVeterinary medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, control, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, disorder, and injury in animals. Along with this, it deals with animal rearing, husbandry, breeding, research on nutrition, and product development.
- Heartworm PreventionHeartworm preventives come in different forms, including monthly chewable pills and topical “spot on” medications, as well as an injectable medication that is given every 6 or 12 months. Heartworm preventives are available only by prescription from veterinarians.
- Urgent CareUrgent care falls between emergency care and regular vet visits. This is for pet owners with a pet in non-life threatening condition, seeking urgent medical attention.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I drove out from Conroe so my pup could have bilateral MPL surgery. The rates were the most affordable out of all quotes I received and he was recommended to me by a vet tech at an Urgent Vet in my city. I’m so glad I chose them for the surgery. They were willing to work on both legs at the same time saving me money and more time off work. He was very informative and patient with all of my questions. The ladies at the front desk were kind and comforting as I left my fur baby there overnight. I adopted her five months ago and leaving her overnight in another city was scary for me. The next day during pick up the vet tech sat with me to go over medication, discharge instructions and physical therapy information. She was really nice as well. Even when my baby got home they called to check on her recovery. Since I’m in another city they have allowed her staples to be removed locally along with the follow up XRays. If any of my other animals need major surgery I will be going back without a doubt. March 30 · Taylor Nizzola
- My dog Mickey started to limp on his LR leg and I immediately suspected IVDD as we had went through this same issue before, so I took him to nvc nederland and was happy to learn that they do the surgery here instead of traveling to sugarland like we did last time. This was 4 weeks ago and my dog is now walking just fine on all 4 legs! I still support his rear legs with a belt to ensure that he makes a full recovery! Scheduling an appointment is sometimes not as smooth but it's most likely because they are always super busy with pets from the community and from people traveling from a distance. I highly recommend this hospital and thank you to the staff for putting up with his stubbornness I really appreciate yall! June 15 · carlos gonzalez
- I was a worried and upset cat mom when I walked in one night, but the veterinary staff took the time to talk to me about everything going on. They provided multiple treatment costs and expenses to help me figure out which was best for my cat and my family. The nurses were so sweet to my sometimes temperamental cat and I knew that we were in the right place. I am very grateful because they saved my cat’s life. July 08 · Stephanie Kerlin
- Drove from south Houston area so my kitten could have surgery on his fractured leg. The veterinarian was amazing, he explained the procedure to me, what he was going to do, and why. They quoted me 2.3k which is extremely affordable to me, other hospitals were quoting up to 7k! He stayed over night for his surgery and the staff called me to give me updates before and after his surgery. The picture with the cast is when I took him to the emergency animal hospital and they put a cast on him. The second photo is him home after his surgery, he had a speedy recovery and is doing amazing! June 30 · Melany Ortega
- Being in animal rescue, we are willing to make a 2 hour trip, one way, for the level of care that Dr Hanson provides. He has saved many dogs for us! We are so grateful! April 23 · Teresa Worley
