★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been coming to Ness Exotics for over a decade as they’ve always been the most experienced and reliable exotic vet in the Chicagoland area near the western suburbs (and I’ve tried them all!). My rabbit became very sick over the past few months and needed emergency care multiple times. Dr Ness was able to squeeze him in and went above and beyond to treat him. The vet support staff are wonderful and everyone provided him with such love and care (despite his ornery personality!). He unfortunately did not make it and Dr Ness and the staff provided such reverence for us during that process and allowed us to say goodbye to him. We are so appreciative of the efforts made to save his life and will always be grateful for the transparency of his condition and ability to sit with him in his final moments.
August 28 · Jaime Gutshallexcellent care! we love, Dr. Ness! i’m going there with different rat needs for about three years! my Button is currently being treated, on the left. On the right, is our Pickle. Recently, he hurt one of his fingers, the nail had gotten torn off somehow.. Going to Ness Exotics is definitely worth a drive which is about 45 minutes for me! highly recommend!
July 13 · T WCalled to make an appt for my pet and I’ve taken other pets here but it’s been many years. I think my records might have been under my maiden name. The receptionist cut me off and said extremely rudely “no, actually if you’re not in the system we’re not taking new patients”. Thank you for letting me know not to take my pet here. I understand there are policies, but lose the attitude. I will not call this place again.
August 23 · Jenny K.I have been looking for a vet for my pet bunny and unfortunately there aren't many in the area. Finally found this place, plus they came highly recommended by a patient of mine. I called and was told they don't take any new patients and to try them back in a couple of months. WHAT??!!! I suppose if you have an "exotic" animal that needs treatment you are out of luck. They also recommended an emergency place that literally charges double the price for all procedures (NOT KIDDING). I would assume that if they are so busy they should expand instead of denying patient care. Very disappointing.
August 12 · Michaela MichThis place is amazing! The receptionists and vet techs were so pleasant! I brought my mouse CaseOh in for an abscess on his face. They did a routine checkup, and then I saw Dr. Golan, who was unbelievably nice!! She recommended lancing or medication, I chose medication due to budget. They handled CaseOh with care, and even gave him his first dose of medicine for me! He wasn’t a fan, but I continued giving him medication for a week, and he got better! His abscess drained and he’s as happy as can be! Immense thanks to the techs and Dr. Golan! I 100% recommend taking your pet here :)
