However, practical aspects like patient record management and client communication are equally vital for a seamless and trustworthy experience. While NOAH Pet Clinic offers extensive services, recent client feedback highlights some important considerations regarding their patient management policies.
The journey of pet ownership involves regular check-ups, unexpected health issues, and a reliance on trusted professionals to maintain accurate health histories. Understanding how a clinic manages long-term patient records and its policies for existing clients who haven't visited in a while can significantly impact a pet owner's experience. This article aims to provide a clear overview of NOAH Pet Clinic, including its services and relevant operational aspects, to help local Ohio residents make informed decisions about their pet's healthcare.

State Route 113 East is a well-known and generally easy-to-navigate road, which facilitates straightforward travel to the clinic.
The accessibility of this location is a significant benefit for local pet owners. This ease of access is particularly valuable for routine appointments, and crucially, during urgent situations where prompt veterinary attention is necessary. For those utilizing GPS or online mapping services, the precise address ensures a smooth and direct journey to the clinic, helping to minimize stress for both pets and their owners.
While specific details about parking facilities are not provided, locations on state routes usually offer adequate on-site parking or readily available nearby parking options to accommodate clients. The convenient location of NOAH Pet Clinic underscores its role as a key resource for veterinary services within the Milan area, making quality pet care readily available to Ohio residents.

- Preventive Care and Wellness: This is a cornerstone of their practice, encompassing routine wellness exams, customized vaccination plans based on your pet's lifestyle, and robust parasite prevention programs (including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention). They also offer nutritional guidance and behavioral counseling to support overall health.
- Dentistry: NOAH Pet Clinic provides a full range of dental services, including preventive care, professional cleanings, digital dental X-rays, tooth extractions, and treatments for existing dental issues.
- Diagnostics: Equipped with an in-house laboratory, they offer various diagnostic tests for quick results, including blood work (serum chemistry, hematology), urinalysis, fecal testing, and infectious disease testing. They also utilize digital X-rays and have access to ultrasound imaging, often partnering with external labs for specialized testing and board-certified radiologist interpretations.

- Online Pharmacy: For convenience, they have partnered with an online pharmacy to provide a wider range of medications, supplements, and therapeutic diets.
- Emergency Services: While primarily appointment-based, they provide guidance for existing clients experiencing emergencies during regular business hours and refer to 24-hour emergency centers for after-hours critical care.
- Microchipping: Offered for permanent identification, crucial for reuniting lost pets with their owners.

NOAH Pet Clinic (Northern Ohio Animal Healthcare) offers several key features and operational aspects that shape the client experience. While their range of services is comprehensive, recent client feedback also brings important policy details to light for prospective and existing pet owners in Ohio:
- Comprehensive Service Offering: As detailed in the 'Services Offered' section, NOAH Pet Clinic provides a broad spectrum of veterinary care, from preventive wellness and diagnostics to surgery, dentistry, and even grooming. The inclusion of services like laparoscopy and therapeutic laser indicates a commitment to modern veterinary practices.
- In-house Diagnostics and Online Pharmacy: The availability of an in-house lab for quick diagnostic results (blood work, urinalysis, etc.) and a partnership with an online pharmacy offer significant convenience for pet owners in managing their pet's health and medication needs.
- Dedicated Grooming Services in Milan: The specific mention of grooming services at the Milan location is a distinct highlight for local residents, providing a convenient option for pet hygiene alongside medical care.
- Established Presence in the Community: With a long history of serving the area (as indicated by a client stating 15+ years of patronage), NOAH Pet Clinic has been a long-standing fixture in Northern Ohio's pet healthcare landscape.
- Active Client Policy (Important Consideration): A critical highlight, as per recent client reviews and the clinic's stated policy, is their "Active Client Policy." Clients are considered "active" if their pet has been seen within the past three years. If a pet has not been seen within this timeframe, they are considered "new or inactive," and the clinic may not be accepting "new patients." This can lead to issues with accessing past records if a client falls into the inactive category and is then treated as a new patient when the clinic is not accepting new clients. This policy has caused significant frustration for long-time clients, as their pet's historical records, including vaccination history, may become inaccessible or difficult to retrieve if they are deemed "inactive" and unable to schedule an appointment.
- Record Retention Practice: Related to the active client policy, the experience described by a long-time client highlights concerns about the accessibility of past patient records (e.g., for 11 years of care) if they haven't visited recently. While Ohio law generally requires medical records to be maintained for a minimum of three years after the last visit, the practical implication of their "inactive" client status appears to impact access to older, potentially critical, long-term health information.
These features, particularly the comprehensive services and the specific client policy, are crucial for local pet owners to understand when considering NOAH Pet Clinic for their pet's care.
For pet owners in Milan, Ohio, and the surrounding areas, connecting with NOAH Pet Clinic is straightforward. Having their contact information readily available is essential for scheduling appointments, inquiring about services, or addressing urgent concerns regarding your pet's health. You can reach the clinic using the following details:
- Address: 2502 State Rte 113 E, Milan, OH 44846, USA
- Phone: (419) 499-4949
- Mobile Phone: +1 419-499-4949
The availability of both a primary phone number and a mobile number provides flexible options for clients to get in touch. For routine inquiries, scheduling wellness exams, or discussing non-urgent health matters, it is always recommended to call during the clinic's established business hours. In the event of a pet emergency, it is crucial to call immediately using either number to receive guidance on the best course of action and to ensure the clinic is prepared for your pet's arrival. It is important to note that their website also lists a Sandusky office and directs calls for appointments to the Sandusky number (419-625-2484), with the Milan number specifically for grooming inquiries or perhaps direct line to the Milan office during certain hours/for certain services. Always confirm the best number for your specific need.
Keeping these contact details readily accessible is a practical step for all responsible pet owners in Ohio. This ensures a direct and reliable line to professional veterinary assistance when your pet needs it most. The clear address also facilitates straightforward navigation if you need to visit the clinic in person, contributing to a smoother and less stressful experience for both you and your cherished animal companion.
For pet owners in Milan, Ohio, and the surrounding communities, NOAH Pet Clinic offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, making it a significant local resource for pet healthcare. When evaluating a veterinary practice, locals consider various factors, including the breadth of services, the professionalism of the staff, and crucial operational policies.
NOAH Pet Clinic is well-equipped to provide a wide array of medical, surgical, and preventive care options, alongside convenient services like in-house diagnostics and grooming at the Milan location. This extensive offering means that many of your pet's health needs, from routine check-ups to more complex procedures and daily care, can be addressed under one roof, simplifying pet management for busy Ohio families.
However, it is vital for prospective and long-term local clients to be fully aware of the clinic's "Active Client Policy." While the clinic aims to provide high-quality care, the policy of considering clients "inactive" if they haven't visited within three years, and potentially not accepting them back if the clinic isn't taking "new patients," has caused considerable distress for long-standing clients regarding the accessibility of their pet's historical records. This aspect underscores the importance of consistent visitation or proactive communication to ensure continuous access to your pet's medical history, especially critical for managing chronic conditions or understanding vaccination status.
In conclusion, NOAH Pet Clinic in Milan offers a robust array of veterinary services that cater to many aspects of pet health and wellness. Its accessibility and broad service offerings are definite advantages for locals. For those considering NOAH Pet Clinic, or for long-time clients, understanding and proactively engaging with their active client and record-keeping policies will be key to a smooth and satisfactory veterinary experience. By doing so, Ohio pet owners can leverage the extensive services offered by NOAH Pet Clinic while ensuring continuous and accessible care for their beloved companions.

Sep 10, 2024 · Cari HazelwoodI called to see if I could bring my cat in. She needed to be put down..."NOAH" PET clinic wouldn't allow us to be present for the process. They only would accept a "drop off" where I drop my loving pet off at noon, the doc comes in at 1 and does it. We are not allowed to be present. Why, I asked. I was told with Stone cold cynicism and zero empathy or compassion that we haven't been a patient of theirs within the last 3 years, so they won't accept it. I asked if they will schedule her for a 2nd opinion appointment to see if there's anything they can do and she refused to schedule me, again stating "we aren't taking on any new patients at this time." ---so sad, a vet I took my pets to for over 30 years , attempting to even support a small town business as a born & raised Milan resident, Rip Critter Croft. Screw you NOAH

Jul 20, 2022 · Collin BrendonWe had to put our 14 year old dog down. I called and explained that due to covid our current vet which we love couldn't allow me to be with my pet while she was put down. So I called around trying to find a vet that would allow me to be with her. I called NOAH'S milan office and the lady I spoke to was incredibly insensitive. I told her our situation she interrupted me saying let me stop you there, we aren't accepting new patients so I cant help you. During an incredibly emotional time kindness goes a long way. Instead of saying I'm sorry or even offer a different option I might have she was rude. Again kindness goes a long way.
