My dog has just passed away and I feel it is necessary for me to share my experience with Noble View Vet clinic. They ultimately neglected to perform basic tests, misdiagnosed my dog’s illness, and preformed unnecessary surgery that caused him more harm.I went to Dr. Arnett after finding what looked like a lesion above my dog’s canine tooth. Prior to the appointment, the “lesion” had ruptured, resulting in an episode of excessive bleeding. I took photos. The amount of blood was incredible and it was very important that she understood how much bleeding had happened.Dr. Arnett reviewed the pictures.Dr. Arnett then took one look at Coach’s mouth and stated “I need to get that tooth out right away.” I asked if we needed a biopsy, as I was worried that the lesion could be cancer. Dr. Arnett assured me that it was an abscess and he needs it out ASAP. We were promptly scheduled for a tooth extraction two days later. After we got home from his surgery, I looked in his mouth and saw that his tooth was gone and his “abscess” was much larger. No after-surgery follow up appointment was made so I called the next morning and voiced all of my concerns to Dr. Arnett, she told me I could come in later that day for my “peace of mind.”  I was informed the tooth pulled was completely intact without any decay or infection.Confused, I asked again if this could be cancer and I was told it was not and that she had Dr. Noble look at the lesion and she agreed, not cancer.Dr. Arnett also mentioned Coach lost a lot of blood during surgery. I was told to continue the antibiotics, and that the lesion would get smaller by Monday.Over the weekend, Coach continued bleeding and the lesion kept growing.I brought him back on Monday and Dr. Arnett said it looked worse and my dog needed to be put back under for a biopsy. I was very concerned for him to go under anesthesia twice in 1 week after losing so much blood.I brought Coach to Brighton Animal Clinic for a second opinion the next morning. They did a CBC blood panel and showed that Coach only had 5.6% hemoglobin. We were immediately rushed to an emergency vet in Louisville for a blood transfusion because he had lost so much blood. After 1 hour at the emergency vet, I was informed Coach’s “abscess” was actually Melanoma.I had make the horrible decision to put Coach down the next day due to the blood loss and his diagnosis. He died in pain from an unnecessary surgery. He died of blood loss.He died with misdiagnosed cancer that should have been caught a week earlier. The negligence and inability to follow basic medical protocols is inexcusable. I trusted Noble View with my dog’s life but wont ever make that mistake again. The $1,100 I spent at Noble View covered the cost of the flowers they sent me after I informed them that he was dead. - jessica raymer
