★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1While getting ahold of North Cape Vet, I stumbled upon reading some negative reviews of this place.Dr. Tia and her team have always been a great vet to us. 9/10 she can squeeze in our pets in a timely matter for any care we need, their prices are very reasonable, and they have always been kind to our pets. We have bulldogs so they are known for allergies and an occasional skin infection. Some people complain they can’t be with their dogs for exams, which is understandable but this is not the only vet I’ve been to that requires they take your pet to the back to examine away from you. Personally, I prefer not to be in the room when our Frenchie is being treated because she’s very clingy to me and can come off as aggressive. When Dr Tia takes her back, she doesn’t even need a muzzle anymore. Yes, we’ve heard her cry but she’s very dramatic and when she comes back to us she isn’t afraid of Tia in any way. She is absolutely a professional Dr.Every concern we’ve had with our pups Dr. Tia has diagnosed correctly and has sent us home with the proper treatment.I would describe North Cape Vet as being amazing with everyday care, routine exams and diagnosing issues the best they can. They’ll do x-rays and take samples from our pets to rule out any concerns, and prescribe medications appropriately. We might have issues in the future with our frenchie having IVDD, that I would take our frenchie to a specialist for with more advanced equipment. When we first started noticing a problem, Dr. Tia didn’t think we needed an X-Ray, but for peace of mind she didn’t one for us anyways and she was right, we just needed anti inflammatory and a pain relief and that did the trick. About once a year our pup will have a flare up.Not every vet is a one stop shop, do your research if you need emergency/advanced treatment, but for the yearly visits we one thousand percent recommend this vet.
April 22 · Kaitlyn KimballDr. Tia and her vet tech was amazing with my dog today. Very professional, understanding and listened to my concerns. She explained in detail what was wrong along with treatment plan also answered all my questions. She looked into a serious concern that a previous vet did not. I will be a returning customer. Highly recommend. Very reasonable pricing.
July 15 · Sarah AndersenWow the staff is amazing and has a family "feel". After hearing several excellent reviews about North Cape, our family is confident we have a new vet. It's a pleasure to do business with people that care about pets, rather than pet sales people. Five stars is not enough!
July 24 · Mike PtakBe WARNED. I took my rescue dog back to North Cape as a follow up from a spay performed at North Cape by "Dr Tia". I put this in quoted because she was entirely unprofessional. Walking in the door, the smell of cat pee was so acrid both mine and my daughters eyes were watering. We have noth volunteered at the humane society on a hot summer day and it was never this bad. The "vet" never saw us before or after spay appt and we only met her this time because we followed the sounds of our puppy crying down a hallway and found her upside down on the floor being held down by 3 techs while thrashing and bashing her head on the floor. When we questioned what was going on we were yelled at and told to go back to the exam room (where there never was an actual exam). When the "Dr" came in the room she was furious, we were wasting her time and she does these exams away from the pets guardians because it saves her time and money (she doesn't want to deal with people). We got our pup back with what looks like rug burn across her snout and then we were ceremoniously kicked out the back door because she felt "disrespected as a Dr." that we questioned why we weren't allowed to be present for the exam. If 0 stars were available I would give less that that. I got my dog back worse off than just a giant seroma on her incision line and ended up going to WVRC Racine where they did a great job fixing her up. My dog that was "perfectly fine" is severely dehydrated and needed anti-inflammatories for pain and swelling reduction. Thank goodness WVRC was able to help us.
February 27 · Jennifer DesotellDr Tia has been one of the best veterinary doctors I’ve gone to. She is very professional and has good judgement. Her staff is very friendly and reliable. I really have no complaints. She removed a large mass from my dog something my previous vet wouldn’t do. The office is very airy and clean and cheerful.
