North King Animal Clinic Reviews
Coco gives this place two paws up! When she is not well, just going here makes her feel better. She is always excited and happy to see her friends who all shower her with love and affection!
Apr 06, 2025 · Nancy KarpThe most recent appointment (4/2025) was for an annual check up for my cat. It was the second time I’ve met Dr. Carrington, and he’s terrific. I realize that North King Animal Clinic, Dr Owen, Brandon and all of the staff have helped me take care of seven pets over the years! I really appreciate the veterinary medicine innovations they offer as well as friendly care and concern. Front desk staff are super! Many years ago I had two cats and took them to a cat-only clinic, which was fine, but I returned to North King for several reasons. Some important factors in my experience in taking my pets to North King are their great communication, website options and kindly understanding my budget concerns when needed. Thanks team!

May 16, 2025 · luann czaplaDr. Owen and her all-star team (Sam,, Brandon, Kelly, Jill) are simply the best! Dr. Carrington, the new vet is terrific! They are all so caring and go out of their way every time for my cats and dog. They are all such kind, compassionate, professional people who truly care about their patients and their people. They always call to follow up the next day to ensure the treatment plan is working. Couldn’t ask for better vet care.
Dec 05, 2024 · Susan TowlesThe prices are cheaper than any other vet I've been to, and they never try to sell you on services that you don't need. Perhaps most importantly, I've never gotten such a strong sense of genuine concern from any other vet. It seems like the doctors and the staff they're really, genuinely care about you and your pet. They're as accommodating as you could possibly expect. For example, when my kitty got spayed, they made a point of doing the operation early in the morning, so that I could pick her up that evening (while she was still under some of the effect of the anesthesia), minimizing the amount of time we spent apart. This was really important to me, because my older kitty developed full-blown PTSD after the vet insisted on keeping her overnight. (She had already been traumatized severely in the past, but being separated from me for a prolonged period is what sent her over the edge, so that immediately when I took her home she started peeing on my bed.)In another instance, they called me early Friday to tell me that blood work indicated my kitty had pancreatitis. They wanted to make sure that I got in to get pain medicine for her before they closed for the weekend.Do you have trouble getting your kitty to the vet in the first place? Do you feel like you're betraying their trust by forcing them into their carrier? Well, they have a solution for that too. They'll give you gabapentin to give to her the night before and a few hours before the appointment. While in humans gabapentin is only useful for treating nerve pain (and not always useful for that), it makes kitties sedate and just cool with everything, without actually knocking them out. (I'm curious how this was discovered in the first place, but gabapentin has a number of useful veterinary applications. It's a lot more useful there than for treating humans frankly.)
