★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr McGhee , Thank-you. You are Without a doubt the best Vet 👌. Personality, dogside manner, expertise, knowledge, kindness, and best of all you didn't break my bank. For that you're a blessing.
July 28 · Gina ZambosI had two horrible experiences with Dr. McGhee. My cat Baci got an hematoma on her left ear. It was caused by a yeast infection. Dr McGhee did not detect the infection. He did surgery, which is ok, but he choose a procedure that is not recommended for cats (I discovered it afterward) because it has the highest chance to cause thick scars. It is only, and randomly, used for dogs that have bigger and thicker ears. He inserted a drain pipe on the cat's ear, and took it off after two weeks. My cat was left with a heavily deformed ear, called cauliflower ear, because heavy and thick scars developed inside her ear as a result of surgery. When I complained with Dr.Mc Ghee that my cat's ear was deformed, he told me "Do not worry, it will go back to shape, it just takes time". Really? After 3 months, not only my cat has a deformed ear for life, but it has also lost all hair on top of the ear, because of the lack of blood flow caused by the scars. See photo. Look how his bad surgery reduced the ear of my cat! I had the cat visited by two other vets and both told me that they have never seen something so bad after hematoma surgery. A cauliflower ear so deformed as the one of my cat, they told me, happens only when the hematoma is untreated, not if it is treated with surgery...The proper procedure involves opening a cut on the ear, draining the blood that has been accumulated, then stitch all ruptured blood vessels and apply a tight bandage to keep the ear's shape. After two weeks, the bandage is taken off and the cat's ear looks like nothing ever happened. But there is more: I had another cat, a male, who started having heavy diarrhea for several days, with no signs of improvement. Dr. McGhee visited him and said that he had a bacterial infection in the intestines, he needed an antibiotic. He ran in circles for weeks, giving him antibiotics and changing them when he saw that they had no effect. He said that maybe he was going to test the feces to see which kind of bacteria was causing the diarrhea... my cats spent weeks in agony while I was giving antibiotics of different kind as instructed by Dr. McGhee. But my cat didn't have a bacterial infection. He had a cancer so advanced that had spread to the intestines, the colon and the lymph nodes. Dr. McGhee didn't detect it. My new vet detect it at his FIRST visit. My poor cat was put to sleep. Dr. McGhee caused him useless agony for weeks. I will never forget these horrible experiences. Now I am living with only one cat, and every time I see her deformed and hairless ear I want to cry.
May 31 · Gerardo PavoneWe had our 7 month old puppy neutered here and had such a a great experience from the time I called to schedule the appointment to the time we picked our puppy up to go home. They really care about the animals here and take their time with you. The office staff was extremely nice and caring as well. They have gained a customer for life.
June 30 · Tonya DavidgeHonest people who do honest work. They really seem to care about the animals that visit. Took my pup in for a neuter, process was super easy, my pup was kept comfortable and given proper aftercare. No hidden fees whatsoever, safe to say this is Woody’s vet from now on. Thank you!
March 05 · sammy khraishi**Highly Recommend Dr. McGee and His Team**I can't say enough good things about Dr. McGee and his amazing team. My Sphynx kitty broke his leg, and after a frustrating journey through multiple vets, I finally found Dr. McGee. He not only recommended a fantastic surgeon, but his compassionate care and ability to understand animals truly sets him apart—he's an animal whisperer and not just out for your money! The entire staff was phenomenal, and even though I had to drive 45 minutes to get there, it was absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a vet who genuinely cares, I highly recommend Dr. McGee.
