Old Derby Animal Hospital Reviews
I've been bringing my furry family to Old Derby for at least 25 years...probably more! The quality of care is beyond outstanding, as is the compassion of the staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My dog has stress related seizures and Dr. Kimball comes out to the car to sedate her a bit if we need to bring her in. Jess, one of the amazing techs, does any necessary blood draws in our car to avoid the stress of bringing Tuukka inside. What other vet does that????
May 09, 2025 · Ellen DI brought my cat, Sully, to Old Derby Animal Hospital, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he received. Dr. Ray was incredibly patient and gentle, making sure Sully was comfortable the entire time. The staff was also kind and professional, taking the time to explain everything clearly. I really appreciated how much care and attention they gave to Sully—it’s clear they love what they do.
Feb 08, 2025 · Daniel HackettI love Old Derby! My dog is afraid of the vet, I can relate because I don’t like getting shots either, but Dr. Butler and the entire Old Derby family is so calm, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. They always do everything they can to make us comfortable. Paperwork, medication management, and especially animal care, everything is a breeze here. Thank you for keeping my bestie so healthy!! The thing that also sets them apart is the compassion for animals. You can tell everyone at Old Derby has a furry loved one at home because they treat my pet like she’s their own ❤️
May 29, 2025 · Erin LynchBeing new to the hospital, I wasn't sure about what to expect. The veterinarian, Dr Devitt, took time to get familiar with my kitty and make him as comfortable as she could before examining him. She took time to explain and demonstrate ways for me to administer medication in a less stressful manner. She also reminded me about updating info in his microchip since I had moved, and scanned it so that I had the necessary info. Overall, she was calming, patient, caring and gentle with my cat. I'm very glad I switched animal hospitals and feel like the way she interacts with both my cat and I will ease anxiety about future trips.
Jun 13, 2025 · Liz FitzgeraldEveryone I met here, and who worked with my dog and me at our first visit, was very competent, caring, and understanding. We were treated with respect and kindness at all times. I found it easy to trust the doctors, the technicians and the office staff with my dog's health and well being.
