Finding a veterinary clinic that combines professional expertise with a genuine passion for animal welfare is key. Oregon Veterinary Clinic stands as a cornerstone of the local community, offering a full range of veterinary services designed to meet the diverse needs of companion animals. This isn't just a place for check-ups; it's a dedicated animal hospital where the well-being of your pet is the primary concern. The clinic's long history in the area, coupled with its commitment to modern medicine and compassionate care, has earned it a trusted reputation among local pet owners. Whether you have a new puppy in need of vaccinations, a cat requiring a dental cleaning, or a pet with a more complex medical issue, the team at Oregon Veterinary Clinic is equipped to provide the highest standard of care in a welcoming and relaxed environment.
The history of Oregon Veterinary Clinic is deeply intertwined with the community it serves. Founded in 1972 as a mixed animal practice, the clinic evolved to become a dedicated small animal practice in 1999. In 2003, Dr. Rachel Orvick, whose father was one of the original founders, and her colleague, Dr. Jim Stevenson, took ownership, continuing the legacy of family-oriented, high-quality care. This long-standing connection to the community has fostered a strong sense of trust and loyalty, with clients often noting that they have been bringing their pets to the clinic for years. In 2007, the clinic underwent a total remodel to enlarge the facility and add a dedicated space for a doggie daycare, further expanding their services and commitment to the community's needs. This combination of a rich history and a forward-thinking approach to veterinary medicine makes Oregon Veterinary Clinic a unique and reliable resource for pet owners in the area.
The practice's philosophy revolves around providing superior care with a focus on education and partnership. They believe in empowering pet owners by providing resources that allow them to make informed decisions regarding their pet's wellness. As a full-service veterinary practice, they are able to handle a wide range of medical needs, from routine preventive care to emergency procedures. Customer reviews highlight the friendly and helpful nature of the staff, emphasizing the positive experience they have during visits. One client, who drove 80 miles for a dental cleaning, noted the reasonable prices compared to the Milwaukee area and praised the care and concern shown by the team. This kind of feedback speaks volumes about the clinic’s commitment to not only providing excellent medical care but also making the experience a positive one for both the pet and the owner. Their dedication to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment is a key reason why so many in the Oregon area and beyond choose to trust their companion animals to this clinic.

When it comes to the health and happiness of your pet, choosing the right veterinary care provider is one of the most important decisions you will make. For residents of Oregon, Wisconsin, and the surrounding region, Oregon Veterinary Clinic stands out as an excellent choice for a number of compelling reasons. The core of their appeal lies in the unique blend of their professional medical capabilities and a deeply personal, compassionate approach to patient care. This isn't just a business; it's a practice built on a foundation of community trust and genuine love for animals.
First and foremost, the clinic offers a truly comprehensive suite of services. As a full-service animal hospital, they are equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs, from essential preventative care to complex surgical procedures like fracture repair. This means you won’t have to visit multiple clinics for different needs, simplifying your pet's healthcare journey. The use of modern technology, including digital dental x-rays, ensures that diagnoses are accurate and treatment plans are effective. Their commitment to staying current with veterinary advancements, as demonstrated by their AAHA accreditation, means your pet is always in capable hands, receiving care that meets or exceeds the highest industry standards. This level of comprehensive care under one roof provides immense convenience and peace of mind for pet owners.
What truly sets them apart, however, is the human element. The team at Oregon Veterinary Clinic consistently receives glowing reviews from clients who praise not just their professional skills but their kindness and helpfulness. One client, who traveled a significant distance, mentioned how pleased they were with the "care and concern shown at the visit," noting that this level of trust and good treatment is why they stay with a service provider. This caring attitude is particularly valuable during stressful times, such as when a pet is ill or injured. Knowing that your pet is being cared for by a team that is as compassionate as it is skilled provides immense peace of mind. The staff’s long-standing presence in the community and their friendly demeanor foster a sense of familiarity and trust that is difficult to find elsewhere. This personal connection helps to create a comfortable environment where both you and your pet can feel at ease.
Finally, the clinic's accessibility and customer-centric approach are worth noting. Their location is convenient, and their commitment to accessibility features like wheelchair ramps and parking ensures that all members of the community can access their services with ease. Their services like "Doggie Daycare" and the option for dropping off your pet for a scheduled appointment show a flexibility that caters to the busy lives of modern pet owners. In a world where healthcare can often feel impersonal, this level of personal service and dedication to patient well-being is increasingly rare and highly valued. Choosing Oregon Veterinary Clinic means selecting a partner in your pet's health who is not only a skilled medical professional but also a caring neighbor who understands the special bond you share with your companion. This blend of expertise, compassion, and community focus makes them a standout choice for veterinary care in Wisconsin.

August 30 · Tammy CooleyI drove 80 miles to have my cat's teeth cleaned, and I am so pleased with the care and concern shown at the visit. Prices are extremely reasonable compared to the Milwaukee area. Three services one stays with when treated well...Auto, Hairdresser and Vet!!
April 17 · Debbie Haag***Update: Our 13 year old cat, Spot is still going strong!!! Thanks, OVC!!!We've just laid our third dog in 20+ years to rest here at this Veterinary clinic...Jersey, Dakota, and now Thunder. Anyone who has been through this understands the pain associated with losing a beloved canine member of the family as well as the importance of working with veterinary staff who are kind and sensitive. OVC goes above and beyond for their human and furry clients at all stages of their lives. We have put our trust in this facility with all of our cats and dogs and will continue to do so as long as we live in Dane County.***Nobody who loves their pets wants to think about the end of their lives, but all pet owners know that the time comes for all of us. Years ago, when it came time for Jersey and Dakota, my kids were young, and I went by myself. Care, time, and discretion were given by staff for me to say my final farewell to my beloved companions.*****This time around, two of my kids (14 and 23) were home and wanted to come along to say their last goodbyes (our other kid regretfully could not return as she is off at college) to Thunder. They took us to a back room that was big enough for the four of us to say farewell to our old dog. It was complete with sofas and a soft blanket for Thunder, who was having trouble standing. While we had already treated our old boy with bacon, chicken, and a piece of cheeseburger earlier in the day in reluctant anticipation of his final moments...the Vet staff gave us some more Pro-plan treats to give him before the sedation was administered.Obviously this experience was hard on us, it was hard on the kids, and most certainly on our dogs (Skye and Ara didn't know where their buddy went)...but OVC made it as pain-free as possible and I can't say enough about the professionalism, kindness, and understanding that seems so rare these days in other businesses where so much less is hoped for and expected. They are really the best that a family could hope for in terms of the care administered to their pets from puppies and kittens and through all stages of their adult dog and cat lives.*******Goodbye Thunder!!! We love you old man
January 31 · Kent WanneboI do not trust my animals anywhere else. They take their time, do it right, and explain options in simple terms. Most places say what is to be done their way, this place takes time to explain all the options, not just the one they recommend. They are the best in my opinion.6/15/22 still the best.7/5/22 saved my little one from the brink of death yet again. Miracle workers, much better than miracle max and we still storm the castle.8/20/22 little guy is still doing good. They earned my trust.
November 16 · CMDR ConnerDr. Orvick saved our dog Archer’s life by performing a splenectomy with a large mass. We will be able to spend more time with him even if it’s for a little while. I’m beyond grateful!
