★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BEWARE: I used to recommend this office to everyone, Dr Johnson and his team were friendly knowledgeable and helpful, however Doc Johnson retired and the service and care have not been good since. I went a handful of times after he left with multiple pets and the vibe was more about money and less about care. Last time I was there I was mocked by vet and tech while they were in hallway about my dog, days later she was at another vet having life threatening emergency surgery on my very concern I went there for. My entire extended family also all used them, we've all switched because they each have THiER OWN reason and personal experience for not returning.
August 29 · C RoseWe have brought our puppy Apollo here since we first got him as a 6 week old. He gets very excited when he realizes he is going to the vet. He loves the attention he gets from everyone there and the treats he receives from sitting on the scale like a good boy!
December 30 · Casey LemieuxWe were excited for my wife to bring our dog in, as this is so much closer to our new home than the vet we were seeing. The actual doctor was great, but every other part of her experience was terrible to the point she was in tears when she came home. The young lady who checked her in was extremely rude. Spent most of the time talking to another gal behind the desk. The tech who first helped check out our dog treated my wife like she was abusing our dog who we love. She made my wife feel stupid and laid on the guilt because my wife didn’t know about certain blood work and other tests he should have st his age. We’ve always gone to East Central in Cambridge and they take care of all of that. It’s why we have a vet. My wife should not be made to feel bad because she doesn’t know what blood work he needs or what tests he should have. THATS WHY WE BRING HIM TO THE VET! Needless to say we will be returning to East Central, and will never return to this office.
July 26 · Jeff KOur dog was taken the clinic multiple times during the week due to severe digestive issues. On Saturday morning, my wife took her in because our dog hadn’t eaten in several days and was clearly in pain. The understanding was that our dog needed morphine for pain, and the medication could only be administered by a vet. My wife requested that they keep her over the weekend for proper care. However, the vet informed us that the only way they could treat her was if she was legally signed over to the clinic. In a moment of desperation to ensure our dog received the necessary care, my wife reluctantly signed the paperwork. We think our dog recovered and was rehomed, but the clinic has since refused to provide us with any updates. While there are many details to this situation, the main issue was the poor communication that ultimately led to us losing our dog. The vet made several assumptions without asking clarifying questions, and my wife, in an emotional and distressed state, struggled to make clear decisions. She was simply trying to do what was best for our dog.
May 04 · Susie CurtisNever Forget our puppy Brynn! We miss her everyday!!!This was my 7 month old puppy Brynn that lost her life as a result of improper anesthesia during a routine spay. Brynn's heart stopped as a result and was only revived after 5 minutes of no oxygen to her brain. I was not informed of this situation until 3:45pm. They said that they could not keep her any longer and that she needs to be picked up before their 6:00pm closing time. They told me she was in “stable condition”. They advised us we could take her home or bring her to the animal hospital for further care. We were given a quote of $2,000.00 for 24 hours of hospital care.We arrived to be given our puppy in a towel now blind and a vegetable. Not responsive to anything. How could we have even brought this dog home? They lied to us telling us she was stable and could get better.? We were charged $3400.00 for hospitalization in which little Brynn continued to have brain seizures. It was at 2:00 am that the hospital called us to tell us that she was not going to make it and that it was time to put her to sleep. We were not even there to say goodbye. We are so hurt at how this was handled and the poor care our dog received here. We have no puppy and are out $3400.00 we would not have spent if we were told that only .06% of dogs survive this. There was no care call to see how she was doing the day after. I will not bring another animal to this vet. I hope they learn from poor Brynn’s death on how to be honest about the true condition of the animal and take responsibility for their mistakes.Would you want your animal to have a surgery done by a doctor who was out of school less then 6 months and a Vet Tech with no experience as shown in their ad located on their web site?
