Overland Park Veterinary Center Introduce
Welcome to **Overland Park Veterinary Center**, a highly respected, full-service animal hospital and kennel located right here in the heart of Overland Park, Kansas. For local pet owners, this facility represents a dedicated partner in maintaining the long-term health and well-being of their dogs and cats. The Center’s mission is to provide comprehensive, high-quality veterinary medicine paired with a truly compassionate approach, ensuring every patient and client feels comfortable and cared for.
The clinic is staffed by experienced professionals, including veterinarians like Dr. Jane Cindrich, DVM, and skilled assistants like Tammy, who are consistently noted for their excellent bedside manner. One grateful client, the owner of a sick 10-year-old terrier named Boots, shared a stellar experience, stating: Both Tammy and Jane had an amazing calm and compassionate energy that helped Boots to relax as she was pretty rough in the gut. These gals are the real deal, and I appreciate big time the care they took with Boots. They clearly love their patients both pup and human.
This deep, authentic care is a hallmark of the Center’s philosophy and creates a supportive environment during what can often be a stressful time for pets and their families.
Beyond routine preventative care, the Overland Park Veterinary Center is equipped to handle complex medical issues, offering everything from **Orthopedic Surgeries** to on-site **Emergency Care** during business hours. They employ a full range of modern diagnostic tools, including **X-Rays** and an **In-House Laboratory**, allowing for rapid diagnosis and treatment planning right in the Kansas facility. This integration of medical and surgical services, along with kennel amenities, solidifies its standing as a single, convenient source for all aspects of pet ownership.
The hospital recognizes that life in Kansas can be busy and often unpredictable. To accommodate this, they offer **Same Day Appointments** and **Urgent Care** services, striving to fit in pets who need immediate attention between scheduled visits. Additionally, the ability to simply **Drop Off** a pet for a necessary procedure or checkup provides flexibility for busy schedules. When you choose Overland Park Veterinary Center, you are choosing a team committed to being available when your pet needs them most, providing the highest standard of care in veterinary medicine.
It is important to note that while the Center offers extensive **Grooming** services, clear communication between the client and the groomer is essential to ensure desired results are met. One review highlights a discrepancy in expectations, serving as a reminder for all clients to thoroughly discuss specific styling requests, such as a complete shave not a groom,
during the drop-off consultation to avoid misunderstandings, particularly with detailed cuts like a 'lion's cut.' The Center is committed to continually improving all aspects of service, working to ensure satisfaction across all departments.

- You were supposed to give Cuban a shave not a groom. We talked about this when I brought him in and we talked about this when you called me as I was on my way to work after I dropped him off. A complete shave not a groom. You groomed him into a lion's cut. The night before I trimmed his bangs so he can see. All you did was shave his torso. And didn't even straighten up is facial hair because he still has the same crooked cut I gave him with the scissors. A shave means a shave not a lions cut.You did a great job at Sasha office visit . You charge me over $ 225 for a lion's cut and did not straighten out the mess I did trimming his bangs.I just moved here , thought I found a good vet for my dogs but that's not the case , I will take my business elsewhere. The third picture is what his face should look like . March 14 · Mark Lickwar
- So impressed with these vets and this staff! We’ve now seen Dr. Askren and Dr. McKee for our dogs and both were incredibly kind and knowledgeable! My dog broke a bone in his foot and the staff has been so helpful and loving in changing the splint weekly. Front desk staff is kind and patient as well and very helpful with getting us booked in a timely way. 10/10 recommend! June 30 · Chantiel Hevel
- We previously took our dogs to Roeland Park Veterinary and received excellent care, so when they permanently closed and combined offices with Overland Park, we were happy to follow.Right off the bat I was not impressed with the patient care experience. I have two timid rescue dogs, so sitting in my car while someone came out to get them and took them inside without me made an already bad situation for them worse. There was also an issue with their records combining from RPV (I will say I assume this has been remedied by now). At the end of the exam, the vet came out to chat with me and I was not impressed with the conversation. He couldn’t keep the dogs’ medical histories straight at all. One of my dogs had recently developed a small mass on his nose and while I was pretty sure it was just a large scab, I wanted the vet to confirm. When I asked him about he said, “well, what do you think it is?” I said probably a scab and he responded with “that’s probably right” and gave me no further insight.I understand combining practices was probably hectic but I was so exceedingly underwhelmed by my experience that my gut told me it was time to find a different vet. Two months later my dogs had a new patient appointment with another vet who immediately found a few lumps on one dog they are keeping an eye on and a heart murmur on the other - two things Overland Park had completely missed. I’m glad I trusted my gut. August 14 · Allison Neely
- literally the nicest group of people ever, had to take my cat here due to a urinary blockage and they quoted me less than any other place around and was even able to hospitalize him over the weekend, and gave us a food to feed him to help prevent this. when i first called the person who answered the phone was the absolute best, they went over cost and was shocked we weren’t able to find a place as affordable as them (most places were quoting thousands of dollars, they were able to do it for less than $900!!), i started sobbing and they handled my emotions just so perfect, and got my baby in immediately. kept us updated through texts and calls, and even washed and trimmed my boys nails. i am just so grateful to have this insanely wonderful experience and will be my go to vet from now on.
