★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We took our one year old Goldendoodle to PAW HealthNetwork after he ingested an unknown amount of mouse bait. The staff advised us when we called that there were a couple of others due to arrive at our same ETA. When we got there, staff appropriately took Cooper back for an exam immediately. We were informed of the treatment plan and treatment was started very quickly. The doctors and staff worked very closely with Poison Control the entire stay to ensure the best treatment. Even though he had a three night stay, I am so thankful for the care he received. I will admit that I made the mistake mid-stay of reading the reviews which gave me more anxiety but also urged me to ask more questions and communicate more with the staff and doctors! We are over a week post-hospital stay and I am happy to report that Cooper is doing well! I will be forever grateful for the care he received!
May 06 · Jody UnderwoodHorrible. If I could do 0 stars I would. I brought my 7 year old mini golden doodle in due to local pneumonia in July 2024. We brought her in at 3 pm where they took her immediately behind closed doors and didn't get help until 9 pm. They saw her uncomfortable and struggling to breathe and still put her 13th in line. She had compromised lungs and the pneumonia on top of it and still didn't prioritize her. I got text messages updating her status in line saying she was 13th, then she was 9th, then she was 10th. Finally, they helped her around 9pm. I got the medical records and they show that she was helped until 1 AM where there was no documentation of any of her care until 6AM. Around 6 AM we got an unexpected phone call that she went into cardiac arrest. The lady on the phone asked "Should we continue CPR?" This angered us as we already signed paper work to perform CPR and continue doing so CPR without asking us. Instead they felt the need to call and discuss CPR on my dog. At 6:30AM they called and said CPR was unsuccessful. My family and our dogs brother got in the car and drove an hour and a half to the clinic to say our goodbyes to our girl. One of the techs after some time came into the room and asked how we would like to pay. She said smiling "You can either pay at the front desk card or check. Let me know when you want to settle up!" showing no care as we all were crying saying goodbye to a family member. How sickening our bill was thousands of dollars and we got our best friend, our family member, back in a box.I have held off from writing a review but have decided I will never get any answers from PAW Health. I have emailed them, called them, asked for paper work, etc, and have gotten horrible and completely useless information back. A month after she died, I wrote them an email with concerns and a list of valid questions I myself as the owner needs to know. Was she hooked up to machines? Why was there no documented care from 1AM to 6AM? Was she ignored? Legally you MUST document your care being done to a patient which leads me to think she was neglected. I waited MONTHS for a decent response and instead got an email saying "Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to evaluate PAW Health to make sure it is providing its standards." Thats it. None of the questions were answered and I am still regretting taking her to PAW Health. There response was nothing but disgusting. I was also sent in the mail a document that basically covered PAW Health and was called "Creating Clarity" making me feel like my questions were worthless. To this day I am completely heartbroken that my dog is gone way too soon. I am beyond angered at the care from PAW Health.I know nothing I can do can bring her back but want to share my experience for others do not have to go through this pain like my family is still suffering from.
April 21 · Lauren KockI took my kitten to this clinic because she had diarrhea—but she was still eating on her own. Just before we left home, she asked for food, followed me around, meowed, and sought affection. Her eyes were full of love and life. She was walking, alert, and responsive.I called around 8:00 p.m. and was told they could see her at 10:00 p.m. I arrived at 9:50 p.m. sharp, but from the very beginning, the staff showed a shocking lack of empathy, as if this were a joke. They immediately separated me from my baby and took her to the back without letting me stay with her. Then, they handed me documents I was required to sign, which released them from all responsibility for anything that might happen to my pet. They also made me choose whether I would authorize CPR for over $400 if something went wrong—all of this before she was even seen by a vet. After a long wait, someone came out to tell me she still hadn’t been seen because there were four pets ahead of her. She wasn’t examined until around 12:00 a.m., and I was then moved into a separate room to wait even longer. When the doctor finally came in, she started telling unrelated stories about other kittens with supposedly worse cases—smiling as if they were amusing. Her attitude was completely unprofessional and insensitive. Every time I tried to ask something, she cut me off, as if my questions bothered her. After barely five minutes, she left the room and sent a nurse with a paper listing what they planned to give my kitten and the total cost. The list included fluids, a dewormer, and an antibiotic. The prices were extremely high—at least double what I would have paid at my regular vet. What truly upset me was that they told me the dewormer and antibiotic would likely cause more diarrhea. Since my kitten was already being treated for diarrhea and dehydration—and was already on an antibiotic prescribed by her primary vet—I declined both medications. Giving her additional antibiotics would have only worsened her diarrhea and increased her dehydration. As for the fluids, I asked if it was necessary to give her more, since she had already received fluids earlier that day from her regular vet, and was scheduled for another dose at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. They told me it wasn’t necessary, that she looked good—alert, awake—and that she could easily make it through the night with fluids and warmth at home. So, I only paid for the exam, and they told me to wait in the car while they brought her out. When I received her, she was unrecognizable. Her body was limp, freezing cold, unresponsive, and clearly in pain. She began having spasms, and her little face showed deep suffering. I watched her slowly fade away. She died at 3:50 a.m. I saw the light leave her eyes.Their only response was, “We’re sorry, but this happens often.” They offered cremation, but I refused. I chose to take her home with me.The only reason I went to this clinic was because it was the only one open at the time. I curse the moment I made that decision. After reading countless reviews—many describing almost identical experiences—I no longer have any doubt that they were responsible for my kitten’s death. This was not a coincidence. It was negligence, or worse. Please, always read reviews and comments from other clients before taking your pet anywhere. This place is not a clinic that helps or saves lives—it is a direct path to death.
June 28 · Evelyn MalvaizIt’s sad to see a vet that doesn’t care about animals, sadly this is one of those places. Myself and now my sister both had an issue with our pets a few months apart. They told us they couldn’t see them, we told them they were in bad shape, they said it would be $89 to do a consult over the phone with a veterinarian, so we asked the lady on the phone for a piece of advice and she said no she would not give her advice to one question and it would be $89 if she did. These are the type of people that do not do what they do because they love animals and want to help or save them. You can tell the genuinely do not care about animals. They are money hungry and it’s such a shame because animals are amazing. I understand they have to make money but to not even be able to answer a question for my as my pet may be dying after you said he couldn’t be seen? I remember when people used to be good people. Not so much anymore. Glad I saw their true colors over the phone. I went to a different vet over in Plover and they were amazing and had passion for animals. Helped me and called me after his visit to see how he was doing. Stay away from Paw Health Network at all costs if you can. I personally don’t want people who don’t have passion for animals working on mine.
