UNETHICAL. INHUMANE. Two words I would use to describe this veterinary practice. I am not a client of theirs nor will I ever recommend anyone to be! They are capable of euthanizing a PERFECTLY healthy, young dog with so much life to live. I am very aware (after much research) that in the state of Ohio a pet owner can request to have a pet euthanized. That is not the reasoning behind my review. The reasoning behind my review is : AREN’T VETERINARIANS SUPPOSED TO BE ANIMAL ADVOCATES? As a veterinary practice shouldn't you be able to assess not only the health of an animal but its behavior too? A young dog that was not terminally ill or injured and not a danger to others had her life taken at this establishment. In my opinion, any ethically inclined veterinarian would have REFUSED an owner's request of euthanizing a perfectly healthy animal if there was no medical reason for it. Why were no other alternative solutions at least considered? Just because an owner no longer wants the responsibility of a pet should not mean we can just take that pet's LIFE. This young dog had multiple friends and family members ready to welcome her with open arms into a loving and caring home. This was not even considered. Who are we to decide which animals get to live and those who don't? Her name was DAISY and she was full of life and happiness. I always knew being in the veterinary field was not something I’d be able to consider in my lifetime. Compassion and advocacy are two virtues I am proud to embody and clearly this practice does not! Let me not forget to mention I am fully understanding that this decision started with an irresponsible pet owner. My anger lies within the ability to murder an innocent animal by both parties! I’ll never comprehend the decision making capacity of Rolling Hills. - Madison Imhoff
