★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This vet is located in SouthPort, NC. I was at Holden Beach, NC with my family and the two new “monsters” of my life Sophie & Zumi. They are Puppy Mill rescues from an organization called “FurBabies”. Google them please. If you can need a wonderful dog this is your spot for a rescue dog. Anyway, mine are two scared of everything Shih Tzu’s. I have had them about 3 months and this was their first long ride and trip. Sophie late on Thursday got a sand spur on her lip! I worked on it and got it lose. But stuck.I looked up local vets all night and started calling about 8:15am Friday. They all said no. Until this vet said be here at 11.Oh thank goodness! She was really in pain by now.As I called each one I deleted the screenshot from the night before.I deleted the wrong one and went to the wrong vet! Brunswick Animal Hospital with my sick dog. They refused all help. And were very mean.I called this vet from there. By this time it was already 11:15.Out of town patient. The doctor said it will take you at least 20-30 minutes to get here. They were working on the road. I got lost. Took me forever.I was afraid they were going to deny my sick dog. But this wonderful super great vet still took my little dog and me and we got that sand spur off.By this time she was not eating or drinking. She is still having a little trouble because she thinks it will hurt.I understand those things hurt like crazy. And then after all this they only charged me $71. And some change. I couldn’t believe it.I would have paid anything and actually tried to give them money for their favorite rescue or shelter but couldn’t there.I’m going to my local shelter where I live and give a donation in their name and Sophie’s and tell them what happened. My shelter thinks I’m a nut anyway. They will enjoy this story. I can not express how much this experience means to me. These two new puppy mill dogs have been so mistreated. They were part of a 30 dog seizure a few months ago and I’m honored to have them. Especially after my two loves died. We actually got Zumi for Nicholas and he died very unexpectedly two weeks later. Zumi was crushed so I begged for another and got Sophie. These dogs had never been outside or even seen grass before. Seeing them run on the beach was a thrill I will never forget. Sophie is just learning to walk on a leash so this sand spur was quite the ordeal. I no I went into a long story but I thought this wonderful place deserved it. Thank you so much for looking at my little dog.
August 18 · Glyn OwenDr. Jones is the best! So compassionate, gentle, kind, patient and takes time to explain. Never makes me feel rushed like and “in and out” client. Very grateful to have found him due to a bad experience at another local veterinarian I had been with for over 20 years.
August 28 · Jeanne ThompsonDr. Bauer and her assistant were very kind and knowledgeable. The office was very busy and my dog, Camilla, and I were so happy to be seen the day before the holiday. Camilla showed great improvement after the first dose of medication. I’m relieved she seems comfortable now. Thanks to all on the staff.
July 05 · Anna ChurgaiWe are out of town and needed a vet visit for an episode our dog was having. The lady that answered the was extremely nice and got us fit into the schedule last minute. When we arrived, the ladies up front were very nice and caring. My dog has anxiety as it is, which was multiplied be her pain. Because there was so much commotion in the waiting area, they sent someone into the room to pay allowing me to just walk right outside once leaving the room. The dr and especially the technician, listened to everything and was very reassuring. If I lived here, they would be our full time vet. Thank you again!
July 18 · Jennifer MatthewsI love this place. They have rescued my two cats twice on separate occasions when they needed medical assistance asap and other places near my house said no. I now bring them here for wellness exams because I notice the staff is gentle with my 2 cats. I feel confident in their services and will travel 45 minutes to bring my beloveds here. Thank you for all that you do.
