Two Hands Four Paws Introduce
For pet owners in Los Angeles, California, the journey to finding the right care for a furry family member often extends beyond the traditional veterinary clinic. When a pet is facing mobility challenges, recovering from surgery, or dealing with the aches and pains of old age, specialized care is not just a luxury—it's a necessity. Two Hands Four Paws, a premier women-owned facility in Los Angeles, has established itself as a leader in this specialized field, offering a unique blend of veterinary medicine, physical rehabilitation, and compassionate care. This is not a typical vet's office; it is a dedicated rehabilitation center and wellness space where the focus is on improving a pet's quality of life. From hydrotherapy sessions in their state-of-the-art pool to pain management through acupuncture and massage, the team at Two Hands Four Paws is equipped to handle a wide range of orthopedic and neurological issues. They understand that each pet is an individual with specific needs, and they pride themselves on creating personalized treatment plans that get results. For pet parents in California, especially those with senior dogs or special needs animals, Two Hands Four Paws provides a beacon of hope and a supportive community. The facility is not only a place for physical healing but also for emotional well-being, as the staff’s loving and dedicated approach makes a significant difference in a pet’s recovery journey. Their commitment to integrative medicine, blending traditional veterinary services with alternative therapies, makes them a comprehensive and forward-thinking choice for pet wellness.
Located conveniently at 2240 Federal Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90064, USA, Two Hands Four Paws is easily accessible for residents across West Los Angeles and surrounding neighborhoods. The facility’s prime location near major traffic arteries makes it a practical choice for pet owners who need to make frequent trips for rehabilitation sessions. Accessibility is a key feature of the business, which is critical for their clientele. The facility provides a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that all clients, including those with limited mobility, can bring their pets in without difficulty. Furthermore, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot is available, eliminating the stress of finding a suitable spot and making the journey from the car to the building seamless. Inside, the commitment to inclusivity continues with both a wheelchair-accessible restroom and a gender-neutral restroom, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all visitors. The business identifies as women-owned and is also LGBTQ+ friendly, reflecting a modern and inclusive approach. While they do offer drop-off services for the convenience of busy pet parents, they highly recommend making an appointment for consultations and services to ensure a veterinarian or therapist is available to provide the necessary time and attention to each patient. This careful planning ensures that every pet receives the focused, one-on-one care they deserve.

What truly sets Two Hands Four Paws apart are the unique features and highlights that define its practice. These are the elements that contribute to its reputation as a trusted and compassionate partner in pet wellness.
Specialization in Rehabilitation: Unlike general veterinary clinics, Two Hands Four Paws is a dedicated rehabilitation center. This specialization means they have the specific expertise, equipment, and staff to handle complex cases that other vets may not be equipped for. The first-hand account of a dog's successful recovery from TPLO surgery highlights this expertise.
Compassionate and Loving Team: Both the provided reviews speak to the staff's dedication. The positive review mentions that the team took their dog in "like she was their own," and describes them as "the most loving team there is." This personal, caring approach is a major highlight for pet owners who view their pets as family.
Integrative and Holistic Approach: The clinic's use of a combination of traditional and alternative therapies—from veterinary services and prescription nutrition to acupuncture and massage—allows for a more comprehensive and personalized treatment plan, giving pet owners more options for managing their pet's health.
A Community for Special Needs Pets: The facility provides a vital service for pets with special needs and their owners. From wheelchair fittings to specialized boarding, they cater to a clientele that often struggles to find suitable care, providing them with a much-needed resource and community.
Transparency and Communication: The negative review, while expressing frustration, also reveals the clinic's transparent policy-making. The representative clearly explained the fees and policies, and even consulted with the owner to confirm them. While the policies may not have been what the client wanted, the communication was direct and clear, which is a form of professionalism.

Choosing a veterinary service, especially for complex or long-term care, is a significant decision. So, what makes Two Hands Four Paws a worthy choice? The key lies in their highly specialized expertise and profound compassion. While the business is a veterinarian, acupuncturist, physical therapist, and more, its true identity is a physical rehabilitation center. Their staff is not only knowledgeable but also deeply invested in the well-being of every animal, as evidenced by the glowing review from a TPLO surgery patient's owner. The fact that the team is described as "the most loving" and treating the dog "like she was their own" speaks volumes about their culture of care. This is the kind of personal touch that makes a world of difference for a pet parent going through a stressful time. However, it's also important to address the negative feedback. The review detailing the boarding consultation and pricing shows that their services come at a premium and that their policies are rigid. While this may not be suitable for every budget or situation, it is important to understand that highly specialized care often comes with a higher price tag. The detailed explanation of their policies, while frustrating to the client, points to a clear and consistent business model. It suggests that while their services are expensive, they are also transparent, and the client knows exactly what to expect. Ultimately, choosing Two Hands Four Paws means you are opting for a top-tier, specialized facility with a proven track record of helping pets regain their mobility and quality of life. For pet owners in California who value specialized, compassionate, and expert care above all else, Two Hands Four Paws is a compelling and valuable resource.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We took our golden retriever here to have PT after her TPLO surgery and the team took her in like she was their own. The most loving team there is. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.
August 19 · Zoe DinersteinGREED. They require a $225 consultation to board a pet. Ok sure. $200 per night. Ok fine. $50 if you pick up after hours. Uhm ok, starting to get the picture here what these people are about. Then the representative tells me the pets are confined to their room for 24 hours except for a walk or 2, no play time or common area. I said uhm that’s a long time for a dog that can’t walk except with a wheelchair to just be in a room by himself. So I said ok how much to bring a second pet (his sister) that is perfectly healthy just to be with him. Yes you can bring a second pet, it would be $150 for the second pet. Ok so $350 a night? Yes. Oh and also that dog would also need the $225 consultation. I said but wait this dog is totally healthy and they would be there at the same time I’m not going to bring them for two separate hour consultations. “I’m just telling you our policies sir”. Yea you are and they don’t make sense. Nickel and dimed for every little thing. These people act like they arent consumers in their life and more often than not on the other side of this conversation. They would feel the same way. “I can talk to the owner and let you know”. 20 minutes later I get a text saying that she spoke to the owner and they said it would be 2 consultation charges even though one dog is perfectly healthy and they would come in at the same time meaning it still only hour of their time. Predictable. I know everything I need to know about these people.
August 16 · Rick HellriegelSo Pip and I have been coming for 5ish months and I can’t even begin to tell you the difference in Pip’s status in terms of walking. My dog is stage 5 IVDD patient, and so she can’t feel her back legs. Adjusting to this life has been a struggle, and I wasn’t sure how she’d take to therapy, especially with new people, but the staff and the amount of hard work put in here has gotten my dog to take her first steps and move her legs when the vets thought it wouldn’t happen. We do a lot of different things every session, and every person has their own means of helping your pet get the most out of every session. It’s well worth the effort and drive and everyone is so nice and supportive and welcoming that it’s been good for my dog socially, which I never thought would happen. The Two Hands Four Paws family really gave me hope for my dog and has given us a part of our life back, I can’t recommend them enough.
December 23 · Summer BrotmanTwo Hands Four Paws is our favorite place! My dogs absolutely love coming here every week. From our first visit in 2015, Two Hands Four Paws became our regular Sunday spot.Every time we arrive, we are always greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who make us feel right at home. The pool itself is clean and well maintained, with plenty of space for our dogs to splash and play. The water is clear and just the right temperature for a refreshing swim. We also appreciate the variety of toys and floats available for our dogs to play with. The whole facility is nothing short of fantastic. They offer a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for both dogs and their owners. Highly recommend, Two Hands Four Paws is truly one of a kind!
March 12 · Kseniya ShevWe are so grateful for the Fun Swim sessions at Two Hands Four Paws! Merlin has been coming twice a week for months now and he gets the absolute best workout. Merlin wasn't getting as much out of his daily walks and we noticed that he was starting to pack on the pounds. But thankfully he's down 5lbs and is always in such a good (tired out) mood after every swim session. Bryan and everyone else at the facility are wonderful and provide great service. We really appreciate the fact that they keep the pool and wash area clean and are so helpful with scheduling and are mindful of what dogs would pair well as swim buddies. Merlin has a blast every time!
