Feb 18, 2023 · Linda MorenoTerrible first call. My sister is a Vet, but married to a diplomat who is away on duty. I'm a new pet owner. I believe my cat has conjuctivits, as does my sister. I called to make an appointment, and possibly choose a vet. I called up to gather some information and feel the office out. I was told "I'm going to place you on hold and get the other call off the line" I waited 2 or 3 minutes and was hung up on. I called back and asked what happened. I was told surgery was going on 🙏 and that she was needed. I can't imagine just hanging up and not taking the 10 seconds to say can you hold please. The same young lady was right there when I called back, so what happened. No call back. I called back and asked about pricing ect and not one question was able to be fielded. Maybe I had a one off experience, but being in business for 20 years This did NOT feel professional. I won't be using this office which is sad, as I like to keep my business local..Also my cat will have to wait until I find a comfortable location. Very sad. Any help out there in the Dyker Heights area is welcome. Thank you to all
May 23, 2025 · Nicholas AltobelliIf I could give it NEGATIVE 100 I would. AS A LONG TIME CUSTOMER OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT ITS DISGUSTING and DISRESPECTFUL to ME and my PET to be treated like TWO BABOONS for these ladies on the front desk and telephone line. I CALLED to place a simple order for my dogs prescription when CLEARLY the place is OPEN on SATURDAYS on google. When I called a representative on this phone she clearly heard what I was talking about and IMMEDIATELY HUNGED UP ON ME !!!! WHAT TYPE PEOPLE SHOULD WORK IN A ENVIRONMENT THAT HELPS PATIENTS AND TREAT THEM LIKE BABOONS TO LAUGH AT ?!!😡 I will be CLEARLY switching my vet to the one in bayparkway as I heard treats their clients cheaper and MORE LIKE HUMANS WITH EMOTIONS AND TAKES THEIR PETS PROBLEMS SERIOUSLY 😡!!!!
Apr 19, 2025 · DixieMy cat Muffn had been going here since 2014 and on 1/20/25 I had to make the hardest decision to put Muffn to sleep forever because she was not doing well. Dr. Brigande, Christine and the whole staff were so understanding and compassionate. They gave us more than enough time to spend with Muffn during her final moments. When the time came to finally say our final goodbyes they explained everything from beginning to end and every time made it their priority to make Muffn comfortable to cross the Rainbow 🌈 bridge. They let us hold her until her final heart beat. Afterwards they presented us with a little box with her paw print, a patch of her fur and her name on it. It was just the most kindest gesture in such a grieving moment. They even stood open 3hrs after the time they were supposed to close! They also said that they would keep me posted when her tiny body would get picked up by Pet Meadow.
Jan 21, 2025 · Carmen RuemmeleWonderful office - everything from the cleanliness to the incredible kindness of every staff member I encountered. Christine and Zoe at the desk are so kind, conversational and made us feel like we were clients for years, even though it was our first time there. Dr B explains things in a way that is very easy to understand, and presents options. I went in thinking I had to put my 18+ year old cat to sleep, and Dr B offered some options and our cat is doing wonderfully now. Excellent vet office, so glad I found them.UPDATE March 2025: The time came where we had to put our 20+ year old kitty to rest here, and I can't thank the staff and Dr B. enough for their extreme kindness and gentleness. Hardest thing in the world to do, but they eased my mind and were so kind. Will be a minute until we are ready for a pet again, but this will be our vet for life.
