★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very glad we chose to come to this ER vet when we needed one! We have had some negative experiences at another ER vet near us, and I have to say that this ER is great, I’d highly recommend coming here if your pet’s situation allows for the travel. Dr. Tonkin is amazing and answered any and all questions I had when I was scared for my baby, Buddy. I appreciated her knowledge so much, I have nothing but great things to say about her! They even accommodated him (he’s a cat that has very high anxiety/stress), allowing him to stay in a separate room by himself. I’m very thankful they were able to do that for him during his stay, as I know it made his stay much less stressful and a lot easier. I trusted the doctors and techs/nurses with him. Ms. Jennifer at the front desk is also very kind and sweet. This ER is great, but I am praying we never have to use or see them again! (Very much needing an extremely long break, as in many many years, from health-related problems with my baby!) If you are in need of emergency care, this is the place to go.Buddy is doing good, and I pray everyday that he continues to be well. Thank you for providing him with good care during his stay! 🩷
August 29 · Sarah KellyMy dog Buck got hit by a car while on a potty break this past Sunday, as soon as I saw him I starting calking around to every emergency vet within 2 hours of me and all of them except for Swansboro was full. I explained over the phone that it was a drive up there but they were the only ones with availability and they got us in. When we got there, I had ran in asking for a gurney as I thought his back legs was broken and he’s a hundred pound dog, the vet tech at the front immediately got someone to helped her and walked out with me. Then he of course stood on the gurney the entire time as his leg was not broken, but they were super understanding. Luckily he was not critical, but he still had to stay over for two nights, and in that time he saw both Dr. Tonkin and Dr. Tyler, both of which communicated with me really well on what was going on and answered all of my questions before I could even ask them. As well, everyone who worked reception during that time was polite and fast to answer all of my questions on how Buck was doing every time I called in to check on him. I’m very thankful to this clinic for getting my baby in and keeping me informed.
August 26 · Coury MercerI am grateful to have found this facility. The staff were very helpful , informative and I didn’t feel like a number in a crowd. My puppy was able to get back to her normal adorable self and the ladies here did a fantastic job. Thank you again! The prices are affordable and they actually care about your pet. If you have a furry family emergency, definitely come here.
February 16 · ChefShiriece HannahLomaxOur 1.5 yo boxer pup was in distress. We took her to the regular vet who assessed her and determined the need to transfer immediately to Swansboro Animal Hospital. They greeted us as we got out of the car and from that moment on KoKo and we had the most professional and compassionate care. Everyone from Dr Sarah, to the vet tech, to the front office staff was amazing. Dr Sarah spent so much time with us as we made difficult decisions, explaining every option with amazing compassion. Ultimately, KoKo wasn’t strong enough to make it through her surgery, and, again, Dr Sarah was so very kind. We can’t recommend this practice enough for any animal needing critical care.
March 07 · Matthew HanlyI sent my wife with my 8-10 week old puppy whom was in an urgent condition here. They forced my family to sit in our car watching him suffer after I had already called telling them that his condition needed immediate attention. And so today at 1155 my dog passed on hospital grounds where he should have been treated not forced to suffer and pass. 10/10 do not recommend going here
