★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would like to recognize Dr Alvaro Bonilla and the amazing team alongside him that facilitated the care of my 2 year old filly Nikki. Nikki had an accident where she spooked through a barbed wire fence in April which resulted in a significant tear in her right hind leg which severed two tendons as well. I honestly believed her trailer ride to Tennessee Equine would be her last... but Dr Alvaro gave me faith that while her injury was quite severe it was not life ending. We are still working to recover, but I am encouraged by her daily improvements! This was my first experience using Tennessee Equine for trauma (usually it's for breeding my Morgans!) and I can confidently say it was miles above my expectations! Thank you to everyone who participated in the care of Nikki and for supporting her frantic owner! You are the best!
July 15 · Lori WoodMy horse Dusty was diagnosed with an infected abscess in his L front. He was admitted to the hospital for antibiotics and pain control. Swift actions by the team there kept the pedal bone from becoming infected and requiring surgery. He was discharged 4 days later on a 2 week course of Doxy, Bute and a glue on shoe with removable plate. He had a 100% recovery. The team was very professional and compassionate.
July 14 · Teresa DevaughnI’ve trusted Tennessee Equine with my horses health care needs for over 20 years. Yes, even before the hospital was founded, Dr. McInturff has been my go-to vet. The entire team is excellent and I am very grateful to know they are available any time of the day or night if I need help. Highly recommend!!
July 15 · roberta lehmanI used TN Equine for the 1st time Saturday because of an emergency worth my 30 yr old mare and my vet clinic had no one that could her. Dr. Wesley was very responsive. She provided excellent care, knowledgeable and responded to my questions all weekend. They are now my preferred equine vet in the area.
June 24 · Dawn LongI have nothing but great things to say about Tennessee Equine, specifically Dr. Allison and her team. I drove a couple hours to bring my mare for what I thought was her hock arthritis advancing, and was wanting to have a chemical fusion done. My mare was in an extreme amount of pain and limping. Her lameness seemed to jump from different legs. Dr. Allison took the time unwrapping the problem, that I'm certain no one else would have. Spending all day with me and some of the following day; running tests, exams, imaging, etc. We found out that not only did her arthritis advance, but there was a rock lodged in so far up one of the other hooves, which was found on imaging. I was approached with my options between the two situations and not pressured into any of them. I'm fairly new to the industry and never felt talked down, but everything was broken down beautifully. After 5-star treatment and tons of tests, imaging, joint blocks, and even the fusion that I originally thought was the answer. I went to pay expecting several thousand dollars, and was pleasantly surprised... nearly guilty. I'm beyond appreciative and grateful for the amazing experience I had. I felt like the top priority and didn't feel that Dr. Allison was pulled from patient to patient. It would have been so easy to inject the hock and have me out the door. Or nickel and dime every little thing. I am so happy I entrusted Tennessee Equine! Thank you all so much!
