- I switched vets many years ago to UAH and I’m forever grateful that I did. The staff is beyond professional and they truly treat us like family. Our pets mean the world to us and UAH does absolutely everything they can to keep them as happy and healthy as possible. I have two sisters in the industry so I’ve grown to be very particular in what I look for in a vet and I can’t imagine trusting my critters to anyone else. May 19 · Will Blair
- Update (8/19/25): Dr. Otto called us and was sorry about our experience. I think this is his hospital. It seems like he cares about animals and customer satisfaction very much. I see his name in other comments, and I believe him. He promised us for the next time he will be our vet, and he will do everything in front of us in examination room. He accepted the mistakes. This means a lot, and he came off as very genuine. I appreciate it! I want to give one more star for now. After the next examination, I will change it.Original comment (8/14/25): We recently moved from Iowa to Oklahoma. In Iowa, when we go to the vet, they do what they need to do (physical check, vaccine, etc.) in front of you. Then, we pay while leaving. This was our first vet experience in Oklahoma. In reception, we filled the forms, and they asked general questions. Everything was fine. We went to the room. Nurse came in about 10-15 min late from our appointment time. She asked some questions and immediately showed a price of their new examination pocket. It was expensive. I just wanna emphasize that everything started with money talk. Is it a business office or a hospital? Then, they took our cats to another room for physical examination and vaccine even though I asked to go with them. They rejected. What? Why? So right now, we don’t know if they really vaccinated our babies. We have 2 cats: one of them is a little sassy but mostly sweet; the other one is a harmless big muscle boy. For the sassy one, while nurse is bringing back her to the first room, she said she didn’t attack but hissed once. For the other one, there was no problem. Then, the vet came. She acted like my girl attacked her. That’s why she couldn’t completely check her abdominal area. She recommended drug to relax her next time (of course you have to pay for it). I didn’t like this drug thing. I rejected. I said I offered to come with her, you guys refused. She was absolutely incapable of doing her job. Both my cats have the same body weight for 4 years. In Iowa, I specifically asked multiple vets if they have a normal body weight every time (because the girl is very little so that I am afraid she is too thin; the boy has a pouch and big, so he could be overweight). However, every time they said their body weights are perfect (even the big boy) because he is all muscle and very tall. He is just a big cat, they said. Here, this lady called them fat. Are you kidding me?I put their photo here.Puffy orange: 3.5 kg/ 7.8 lbWhite gray: 6.4 kg/ 14.2 lb August 19 · Iltan Aklan
