VCA Arden Animal Hospital Reviews
SCAM OF A PLACE. can NEVER see a vet that can figure out what’s wrong with your dog. Just non stop antibiotics and wasting your damn time and your dogs just getting worse. Oh ya but their receptionist will tell you more than their fake online doctors will. 0/0 they won’t heal your dog and will only make them worse and scam you for thousands. Won’t ever return my dogs here. I suggest you don’t either unless you want to just waste money in this economy. Will be calling my credit card company and getting every dollar back for the fraud this office has committed. Do your job not that hard. MY POOR DOG HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR MONTHS.
May 08, 2025 · SintiyaI accompanied my mom to VCA in Glendale to put down her long time fur baby, Kirby. Kirby was 17 and was failing in his health. We pulled into the lot at VCA and a nurse came out to greet us, and brought us in through a side door and directly into a goodbye room. The room was beautiful and low lit, with candles, soft music playing, and Kirby's name on a whiteboard, with cute drawings around it. There was a table in the center stacked with mats and soft blankets, and there were treats nearby for him.The staff was incredibly patient and caring, compassionate and attentive. They offered us water for Kirby and for ourselves, and they allowed us all the time we needed with him. They walked us gently through the whole process and they answered all of our questions. The vet even chatted with my mom beforehand about Kirby's long life, and stayed and comforted her when it was all done. For such a difficult and emotional experience, the people here REALLY went out of their way to make it easier for us. It ended up being a really amazing experience. If you love your fur babies, and you want the best experience for them and for yourself, VCA is definitely the place to go
May 23, 2025 · JamesI have mixed feelings about VCA after an encounter this afternoon. Previously, our puppy would attend VCA Gateway in Glendale and he is legitimately the happiest pup when he goes in to see the front desk and vets! They made him feel so comfortable, and I've never had a pet so happy to be at the vet before. Then, at the end of February we had an appointment for his final Leptospirosis vaccine and through context clues on what the front desk staff were speaking about, we found out that we were there on the very last day VCA Gateway would be open, and that my puppy's medical records would be transferred to Arden. I understand that VCA is a massive veterinary practice with probably thousands of patients, but never once was I called or emailed about this change until AFTER. Nonetheless, I let that slide and was ok with the change to VCA Arden. Also, throughout my time with VCA - specifically Gateway - I sent them my puppy's medical records from the rescue we got him from & they never updated his records, so every time I would go in, I'd get a lecture about being overdue on vaccines and have to cut the vet off and say "actually, he is fully vaccinated and I sent proof over 2-3 times." Still nothing changed, but again, a headache I was willing to put up with for the quality of care and the happiness our pup felt going into each vet appointmentToday I called VCA Arden as we have a slightly urgent issue with our puppy. I was told that the next available appointment for him wouldn't be until this upcoming Monday, so 5 days from now. I was like "unfortunately that doesn't seem acceptable for this issue..." and I was met with no advice or feedback on what to do otherwise. It's not an issue that really needs the pain (financially and emotionally lol) of an emergency room visit, but it is something we'd like addressed within 24-48 hours. I was met with a callous "we got an influx of patients from Gateway closing and are trying to navigate this." While that's totally 100% fair, I did still expect to get some expert advice on where to go from here, and I was also promised a text message with a route to get my puppy's medical records finally updated so the next time we do need to come into VCA I can avoid another lecture. We'll see if that text message comes, but so far I haven't received anything except an email with the half-baked medical records so I could "Take him somewhere else" for this issue.I'm very upset with this poor bedside manner. I don't want to necessarily blame the individual I spoke to on the phone as I understand that customer service is a very hard and thankless job, you often get berated by customers who think they know better than you. But unfortunately, as territory within the field, I fully expect a friendly person on the other side of the phone when calling my vet's office ready to offer expert advice and apologize for shortcomings. When I brought up the medical records issue, I received a "that sounds like a Gateway issue" - well, unfortunately Gateway is closed now and I can't take it up with them, so now its an Arden issue, so I don't need to receive that kind of attitude when I'm concerned about my puppy and want to be able to avoid unnecessary delays to his care.
Apr 23, 2025 · Katey FarmanianI truly am so grateful for how kind the staff is. Everyone from the front desk, to the vet techs and most especially our vet, Dr. Limburg. I am beyond grateful for her for always being there for me and my pets, no matter how silly my concern is. She truly goes above and beyond consistently. I have been going to this office for about 10 years, and even though we’ve moved from the area, this is still my primary veterinarian office.
May 13, 2025 · Chrissy HarbisonCustomer service is terrible! They constantly put you on hold and then hang up on you (repeatedly)The guy makes phone apts is rude and purposely hung up on me when I asked him not to be placed on hold because I was already hung up on twice prior. When you do get ahold of someone they only get half the information correct. I made an apt 2 weeks ago to give them time to order special food for my senior dogs. I cld to confirm apt for tomorrow and of course they didn’t order the food for my dog w/kidney disease. He’s almost out of food! I miss gateway! I will likely change vets! Overpriced w/terrible service!
