VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital Reviews
This location was wonderful. The crew that i come into contact with was awesome. They explain all my pet needs. Dr Hennessy took her time with my pet and prescribed everything my pet needed. I also called the location and they squeezed me in. They had no available appointments. But when I told the receptionist what was going on she said oh no we have to take care of him. So thumbs up to a wonderful team. Great experience
Jun 13, 2025 · sharon ferrellWe have had amazing care from Dr. Hennessy at VCA Broad St. Fuquay in the last year. She helped us through end of life care for our 16 y.o. poodle Princess last summer and our 18 y.o. cat Daisy in November. Today she helped us take care of our stray cat Tabby Kitty with his eye infection. I was dreading taking a half-wild stray to the vet but she made it work out great. He got antibiotics he badly needed and I felt pride in doing my part to take care of him. Her vet-tech did a great job too. They made me feel that Tabby Kitty can have a happy future.
Jun 06, 2025 · T GregoryWe just started going to VCA and the Dr. that we met the first time was less than pleasant. In all honesty, I’m surprised we went back but she made mention she is not usually at that location so we returned. We came back today for a concern we had with our dogs paw and met Dr. Sarah F (not sure how to spell her last name). She came in with 100% energy and I immediately adored her. She has the best bedside manner, the sweetest personality, and our dog was head over heels for her. She is without a doubt the best veterinarian we have came across for our babies and is 100% the reason we will be back. The only cons I have: The wellness fee is pretty expensive. There are many practices here locally that charge $40-$60 for a wellness exam, and this location charges almost $100. Lastly, they don’t carry Heartgard or Nexgard. :/Thanks Dr. Sarah for being the perfect person for us today. Your sweet energy truly made this rainy day brighter, and you’re without a doubt the reason we will be back.
Apr 08, 2023 · JessicaGlad to see others have had good experiences here. I took my kitten I had adopted with concerns of constant sneezing mucus mixed with blood and pawing at ear. The doc came in not sure his name. Very Young. He just listened to her and said it was most likely stress from changing environments. I had to remind him to look at her ears. He swabbed her ear looked at the dark black wax and said I don't see any ear mites it's just wax build up. Well come to find out you can't see ear mites with the naked eye and she does have ear mites. A day later she wakes up worse I call he prescribes meds she finished her meds and is no better. He says it has to be viral and just let it run it's course. This can not be normal it's been over a month. Aside from him not knowing about ear mites I don't feel like I've gotten the proper care for my baby. Will be going elsewhere
Feb 23, 2025 · Amy GibsonI've not met them yet, but from the phone conversation I just had, I'm looking forward to taking my cat to VCA. She listened patiently to what I needed to convey about my less than friendly kitty and then explained how they would handle the situation. Based on reviews, it looks like this may be a great fit for "SUNNY J."
