VCA College Hill Animal Hospital Reviews
I love everything about this place everyone was so nice and really took time to listen to your concerns. Our first visit was AMAZING, they treated my babies like they were their babies! Winston and Franklin got so much attention from the beginning to the end of their visit. I had to text them about one of my puppies a few days later, they called me back ASAP and spoke to the Veterinary who gave them information to help me with the issue right away! This a safe place and our new home. Verna
Jun 12, 2025 · V JohnsonDr. Smith and the entire VCA Staff were a great comfort to me and my family when it was necessary to promote my very, very ill puppy Shabach to HEAVEN. My Shabach has been my companion for the pass 12 years. I have enjoyed my friend since he was 5 weeks old. This was so sudden. Dr. Smith was key in assisting us through this tough time. In particular Jessica was most excellent and provided great comfort. I love JESUS and am so very grateful for people like Jessica (one of HIS special gifts).
Feb 19, 2025 · Jerral JacksonI don’t normally leave reviews but I felt like I needed to because it’s about my cats health and safety. When we adopted our cat, we learned that she was a rescue. Our first night having her we noticed there was a squishy mass on the side of her stomach (this will be relevant later). VCA called us the morning after we had adopted our cat and asked if we wanted to make an appointment with them and we said yes.Fast-forward to appointment day. They tell us that she has significant debris in her ears from previous ear mites and they don’t know whether the mass on her side is a lipoma or a hernia. The Doctor was very insistent that it was most likely a lipoma, which are harmless tumors, and she wouldn’t need a surgery for it. But if we ended up wanting to go through with a surgery it would cost around $1,600.We had to go back for a second visit in three weeks because they couldn’t get the debris out of her ears and she had to get a second vaccination anyway. I’d been giving her eardrops for 10 days straight With the intention of them being able to get the debris out in the second visit. They told me that they were not able to get the debris out of her ears…AGAIN, and I was going to have give her different drops and come back in two weeks. I told them unfortunately their office was too far from my house and I was going have to go to a different vet, which is true.So here we are, third visit in under two months, but this time, a different practice. The second vet was able to get the debris out and also she recognized that the mass was in-fact NOT a lipoma and actually a trauma induced hernia. And the vet told me she knew it was from trauma because of the location of where it was on her stomach. We booked a surgery appointment for her as soon as we could. She has now had her surgery and is in recovery❤️🩹 …(and with this vet it was only $600)I will say, the veterinarian assistants were very kind to me as well as the vet at VCA, but I don’t think that they did their job correctly at least not for my baby. But the people working the desk were rude. There was also a dog being put down during my second visit and they were rolling their eyes at a kid crying about it. Really off putting.Personally, I think that they took advantage of me and wanted to get as much money out of me as they could, and they were not looking out for my cat at all. In my opinion, this practice is not it.
Apr 23, 2025 · chloe eveThe Doctors are amazing but the support staff and front desk are kinda bitter and rude. If they could treat the humans with a fraction of the patience and respect they give the fur babies this place would be 5 stars all day.
Jun 04, 2025 · Kelsey CaitlinI brought my cat, Mia, here recently after adopting her at AFHS and we love it already! Everyone was very kind while scheduling, checking in and during the visit. The staff were easy to talk to, knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to get a next day appointment that aligned with my schedule. The facility was clean, smelled great and scheduling was easy. Dr. Krendl is the best!
