Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
This was the most unwelcoming vet/pet hospital I’ve ever been to! The only person that showed interest was the receptionist, she was very professional and thorough. When the vet tech entered the room her first question was what’s going on with my cat, in a dry voice. My response was hello my name is ___, how are you? And I’m here for a yearly routine visit. She then introduced herself along with her title only because I forced it in a respectful yet sarcastic way! After that she immediately began to go over all of this pricing, and stated the doctor couldn’t see her until I paid this and that! First off, money wasn’t the issue…but your delivery and nonchalant attitude was rude and very dismissive! From that point on the visit was horrible! I felt I paid for them to tell me something I could read offline…a whole bunch of nothing! Most pet facility employees are enthusiastic, they interact with your pet! They smile! They care! Not this place…they wanted to go home. They already stated I was the last appointment for the day! Moral of the story…these big chains will not get any of my money again! I will stick to the mom and pop facilities where they actually shown concern, care, and educate effectively…not just all about the money!
May 17, 2025 · KishYour pet is better off receiving care somewhere else.I dropped my cat off for a dental cleaning and comprehensive exam. After I brought her home, I realized her claws had been clipped without my request, consent, or approval. When I called Banfield and said that my cats nails had been clipped without my consent the response from the receptionist was "well we didn't charge you for it" in a rude manner. She then said "I dont see what the issue is." My response was, "I would like to know why this was done even though it wasn't requested." I got another rude response of "well idk I wasn't working yesterday when your cat had her appointment."Regardless of being charged or not, I left my cat in their care trusting that they would only do that which was necessary and approved. Instead of honoring my wishes, they subjected my cat to unnecessary treatment and discomfort. I got multiple calls from the vet the morning of the visit with updates on the progress of the cleaning. There was no mention of the claw clipping. Additionally, they neglected to put the claw clipping in her medical/visit summary. It's as though they intentionally tried to hide their actions.Anyone in need of vet services for their animal should avoid this place. Their priority is profits rather than customer service and quality pet care.
Jun 29, 2025 · Brittany MixonFind a different vets office/business or different Banfield location, not the one on Sharon Rd. Charlotte. The lack of care, guidance, and indifference by vets at this location led to the death of my 12 yr old senior in 3 weeks. I have since spoken to an ex employee from this location who said they’d never go back or bring a pet there. My girl died in December and I miss her dearly and it could have been avoided if the vets just cared. After reading other reviews here it looks like I’m not alone. I went to a Banfield in CT with 2 other dogs and the care was 5 star…for years! Then came to Charlotte and Banfield on Sharon Rd. Initially Dr. Burch was there and she was fantastic. Then the current full time vet came in and it was ok at first but as time went on the new vet just didn’t care. Who knows why. Contact me if you want details.Update: it’s been 4 months since I lost my little girl & it haunts me how indifferent the vets were at this location. They could have helped, they could have been caring, but they weren’t.
Apr 24, 2025 · Michele SlaterI have been taking my pups to Banfield for over 12 years. Dr. Goff is the absolute best, she truly cares about her furry patients and has always treated me as a friend. She truly goes above and beyond and you will feel your pup is in the best hands.
May 07, 2025 · CA RDJust moved here and my first visit at this Banfield was seamless. From Jamie up front, to the very friendly vet tech, to the doctor I spoke with on the phone, it was a great experience from start to finish. I'm glad I found a vet that makes me feel heard and understood. They make my pet's health their top priority.
