Jul 03, 2025 · Valerie SanzA lot of complaints in the reviews. But Not Here! 🙌🙌🙌Been with this Banfield for 8yrs. The entire staff loves my dog and my dog loves them. He never wants to leave. Jun 16, 2025 · Jiraiya SamaHave been bringing our dogs here for years. They are always given great treatment by the vets and techs! Huge shout out to Dr. Spratling for always being willing to talk through any concerns I have, and never rush us into a decision.
May 26, 2025 · Rebecca DiVenereDon’t bring your cats here. Apparently they have employees who are allergic to cats, so they refuse to help with those animals. We found a cat who decided to live in our backyard, we already have two others so we originally kept the cat from coming inside. After three days we caved and decided to fully adopt the cat. We brought our new addition in to be checked up and get her first round of vaccines. The kitty looked somewhat pregnant so we asked if they could check. Dropped her and another one of my kitties off at 7am. We didn’t hear anything till I called around 4pm. They said they haven’t been seen yet and that we should plan to arrive at 5. I arrive at 5 and wait 15 minutes before they take me into a room, they let me know they had just gotten their vaccines so we would need to monitor them to make sure they don’t react. They finally bring my cats out and they are literally covered in their own poop and pee. It’s like they were never let out of their carriers. To top it off they never looked into my new kitties pregnancy. I was so angry we decided to take her to a different banfield to have her pregnancy checked. It took several weeks to get a new appointment. Turns out she had a nonviable pregnancy and was at risk for infection. Thank god for Dr. McDonald at the independence location (i think this is her name). She found our new kitty had pyometra and needed her ovaries removed. She even made time to get her in quickly so we could take care of our kitty. If it weren’t for our new doctor, this banfield would have let my cat die. I hope you guys rethink hiring people who can’t even touch the animals who are brought in. I also hope management is replaced with someone who is competent.
May 19, 2025 · David TaylorI am appalled with the care provided here. I have had an optimum wellness plan for years, and have paid out of pocket for diabetic services for my dog - and the care she has received and the advice given has been not only sub-par, but may have impacted her lifespan and general well being and comfortability. Dr. Victoria Norma Marie Cowell has done her glucose curves and advised that her lowest blood glucose level of 280 (once during a curve) is normal. The majority of the time she is 400-460. I knew this seemed off and asked the chat bot, who didn’t have much to say. I received an incredibly snippy and rude phone call from Dr. Cowell afterwards who doubled down on her choices to not up my dog’s insulin. I took their records to an internist who said this was absolutely unheard of. I was thankfully referred to Dr Lauren Henderson at Livewell who has in one week helped us to get these levels steadily lower, prescribed a freestyle Libre 3 that has been immensely helpful in tracking, and has been above and beyond wonderful and caring- as well as taking my concerns seriously.Additionally the wait time for drop off is typically 30 minutes (what is the point of drop off times if they are not adhered to? Scheduling needs to be revamped here), and to get a refill of medication is insanely hard and you have to call multiples times and then finally show up and wait.I am now in the battle to cancel my optimum wellness plan (which doesn’t even cover a toenail trim?) that I have wasted thousands on the last few years. You are much better off paying for things out of pocket here- and better yet visiting a different vet altogether. I will say the Ballantyne location was leaps and bounds better when we have gone there in the past, but with the scam that is the optimum wellness plan, I would not visit a Banfield again.
