Eastside Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Reviews
I have been taking my pets (2 dogs and 1 cat) to Dr. Ashley for years now and I couldn't be more thankful for him and his amazing team after a horrible and very stressful accident that required a 24hr stay at MedVet about a month ago.I called first thing on that Monday morning (very desperate and panicked) to see if they could get our puppy Pearl in that day to continue her care. After explaining the whole situation, they were able to get her in first thing that morning. During the whole ordeal, Dr. Ashley, Breezy and the rest of the team always made sure that I was updated on how she was doing throughout the couple days that she was hospitalized, in addition to throughly explaining all of her lab results and next steps. The care and love that everyone at the office showed towards Pearl gave me peace of mind that she was in the best hands when I left.I truly don't think that Pearl would be as in such good shape as she is now if it weren't for all the helpful, kind, attentive and caring people at Eastside. Thank you all so much for always being the best!!!Attached is just a couple pics of Pearl bein' Pearl.
Apr 02, 2025 · Bridget SchweizerI take my cat Luci here whenever she needs a visit. I’ve been taking her here since she was such a tiny baby, and Dr. Ashley immediately took a liking to her because she was a bobtail. When I came back because of an issue with her eye a year after the last visit, the RVT immediately recognized and remembered her. The Vet-Patient relationship is very strong. Everyone here is so caring and thoughtful, take your pets here if you value your time because they are sure to accommodate!
Mar 09, 2024 · Lilly BExcellent vet for my kitty!Dr. Ashley and his staff are great. The office is only a year old. Everything is neat and organized and squeaky clean (they had just mopped the floors when I came.)But the best part is how knowledgeable Dr. Ashley is. He listened to me and heard me out. He was thoughtful about what I had to say and then offered his considerable experience. My 7 yr old cat has IBD or Lymphoma - only way to tell is a surgical biopsy, and even that is not a sure thing. It's frustrating that we don't know more about this disease in cats.I came here for a second opinion and while I love my first vet and will stay there for my dog, I'm going to switch my cats to Dr. Ashley. He seems to have a lot of experience and is up to date on the latest research (I've read all the papers I can find on this topic and he mentioned some of what I had read). He shared what has worked with other cats he has treated and offered a new approach I had not considered. We won't be able to cure my kitty, but I have confidence that between us, we can treat her symptoms and make her as happy and comfortable as possible. Hopefully for years to come.Bonus 1: when Dr. Ashley did the thorough exam of my kitty he said out loud what he was checking and if it was normal or not. For someone like me who craves information, that was interesting and valuable.Bonus 2: they called me a few days after the visit just to check on her and make sure she was doing okay. Feels so nice to know I'm not fighting this alone and have someone who cares and can help. His staff are wonderful too! They don't rush you and they really listen and care.
Aug 15, 2022 · S GI have only positive things to say about Dr. Ashley and the staff (Robin & Cassie) at Eastside Animal Hospital. Our 11-yr old cat, Pumpkin, unexpectedly lost a canine tooth due to decay, and we became concerned that she was in pain or had a larger problem. Cassie worked with us to get Pumpkin seen within a day despite the office being booked. During the initial check-up, Dr. Ashley was really gentle with Pumpkin and very thoughtful with me in explaining next steps. After transferring her records, we were able to schedule x-rays and surgery within a few days. Robin called me when they were ready to sedate Pumpkin, immediately after x-rays to talk me through her care plan, and again when she woke up to let me know she was stable and to discuss payment options. When I had follow up questions, Dr. Ashley called me directly without delay and was extremely reasonable. They even helped us figure out how to break up the costs so we could fit this unexpected expense in our budget. When I picked up Pumpkin, Robin gave me clear instructions for how to care for her at home in the following days, and showed me Pumpkin's X-ray and pictures so I could understand the surgery.Overall, I feel super comfortable with this practice and their gentle care of our cat as well as how communicative and patient they were with my numerous questions and calls. I feel grateful to have found such a great animal hospital, vet, and staff and will be making this our primary place of pet care. I highly recommend them!
