★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our experience at VCA was incredibly disappointing. The focus felt more on money than on our dog’s well-being or our emotional state. The manager was rude and unhelpful, and the doctor showed little compassion or clear communication. We were rushed, pressured into decisions, and not offered any comfort during a very stressful time. The only person who showed kindness was a representative who listened and spoke with empathy—her support was the only positive part of the visit. If your dog or cat is in need of emergency care and you’re looking for real compassion, affordable options, and support, go to VEG in Pleasant Hill. They truly care for both pets and people during the hardest moments. Also help with COSTS AND SUPPORT!!!!!UNLIKE HERE.
July 01 · jermia jacksonThey were very compassionate and patient as I came to the difficult choice for my little Alfie. The gave me lots of time with him before and after he left us and were very compassionate throughout. Thank you to all the very skilled and caring team. They made a terrible day a little more bearable.
July 13 · Matthew KolejI know when it comes to emergency vet visits the experience can vary greatly. And an emergency place like this has different veterinarians that rotate. But I just wanted to say that my husband and I had a great experience with Dr. Paige Lenz over the weekend. She was very thorough, very caring, and we appreciate her. All of the staff was wonderful with us. Yes, there can be long waits and these places can get very busy. But I really appreciate how they take pets back to take vitals and triage them. They were able to give our dog an injection for pain quite quickly. Dr. Lenz also called the next day. Thank you!
July 02 · Jennifer RThank you emergency Vet for being open on a Sunday evening. Sadly we lost our wonderful Goldendoodle, Marshall, of 10 years. But it wasn't anything to do with the vet. As soon as we showed up it was all hands on deck for our sickly dog. They provided us with timely information, but unfortunately it was not meant to be. In the end, they gave my family as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our best friend. On top of all that they even gave us a "courtesy" discount. Not necessary but 100% appreciated. When we arrived there didn't appear to be any other customers, it took them some time to get the dog into us because of difficulties getting an IV setup. We were glad we got to say our goodbyes and allow him to go into the next life with less pain in this one. They even helped load him up and provided a bag for him.Thank you for being tender and kind in our moment of tragedy.
November 27 · Ben FoxIf ZERO stars was an option, that’s what this would be, a ZERO STAR REVIEW! I brought my cat in to get checked because she wasn’t feeling well and my regular vet didn’t have available appointments for a week. Devon England gave my cat “fluids” . When I brought her home she was acting strange and then bloody stool. My cat was DEAD within 24 hours. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! My family and I have had 6 cats that have lived between 18-20 years of age, my cat died within 24 hours of being a first time visitor at this facility. It almost feels that they made her sick so that I would bring her back and they could charge for extra “tests”. I am heartbroken and will voice my experience to each and every pet owner I know.
