VCA Oak Hills Animal Hospital Reviews
I love the staff, but cannot suggest that anyone goes to VCA anymore. I made a grooming appointment and confirmed that my dog was up to date on everything needed for the appointment, only to be given a bill of almost $500 to get her groomed despite being told everything was up to date. They said it was all required and nothing could be skipped. Why was I not told this over the phone when I asked if she was up to date on everything and why was I only told this the day I brought her in?Again, I love the staff, but VCA has become a vet chain prioritizing profit over care, so go in knowing that.
Jun 06, 2025 · Sharissa KretsingerA very good vet, and the technicians are friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint(s) would be that they try to upsell you with services you don't need. I asked what the price would be for some travel tranquilizers for my dog, and they tried to add them to my bill without telling me the cost, which was considerable. Also they auto-schedule you for another visit 6 months out even though you haven't asked for one; you get an email the next day after your visit saying your next appointment is on the schedule. This is all very capitalist, but not a necessary service in a vet.
Jun 03, 2025 · Reid WilsonThis was my place to go for my dog needs for a long time. I was always delighted with their service. My dog got sick back in December and didn’t want to eat and only drank water for 2 weeks. I had brought her in and we went through so many exams and tests all coming back normal. The vet kept saying after each results that she was mad that she couldn’t find anything. Every doctor visit was $105 plus tests and sonogram.. At this time I had $3000 spent in total and no answers what was wrong or why my dog was sick. I was referred to a vet specialist, which at this time I decided to wait and slowly my dog started to improve. I really think that my dog just had a virus that needed to run its course. I had my concerns if I was just overcharged and tests were unnecessary and so much expenses for nothing.Recently my dog had a mouth mass. Took her again and now they came up with a $2700 estimated invoice and had included to remove two broken molars that needed to be taken care of. I felt that they were milking the cow. So I went to another vet clinic to have the mass removed. My invoice was $1080. What a difference! I was told if any teeth or molars were broken they would have to remove them. When I went to pick up my dog, to my surprise no teeth or molars were removed because had no broken teeth. My heart jumped in disbelief of what VCA tried to do. I felt insulted and taken advantage of.Please be aware and always check other options.
Apr 19, 2025 · mairim24rodzGot a dog from ACS which came w a voucher to get our pet checked. VCA was great about getting the pup in and extremely helpful getting a minor health issue in check. Highly recommend
Mar 17, 2025 · josh kieferWhile I have some mostly minor complaints with the care I received here during end-of-life for my elderly cat, this one-star review is because during the process of euthanizing my cat here I had filled out forms to have them take his paw prints before cremation. They did not do this, and I will never be able to have those paw prints of my sweet baby. That is entirely their fault. I am heartbroken.
