VCA Wellington Animal Hospital Reviews
My partner in crime of 16 years, Fat Lou recently has developed some major, heart wrenching illnesses. If I’m not mistaken Christine and a fast learning new employee named Penny at the front desk just about wiped my tears for me. They went above and beyond. Skylar the tech listened so thoroughly and patiently to every word I said and was so gentle not only with Fat Lou but also personally. We needed it. Lastly, Dr. Hillebrand. I think this will say it all- she cared for Fat Lou the way I do. From how she looked at him to how to she spoke to and about him. So, with all this said to the ladies above, thank you for making a dark day a little brighter. And thank you guys for loving Fat Lou. Forever grateful.
Mar 25, 2025 · Molly MacDonaldI wish I could say my experience with VCA Wellington Animal Hospital was a positive one, but unfortunately, it was deeply disappointing — not just in terms of service, but in the energy and treatment I received from the staff. When I adopted my dog, I was given a certificate that promised a free initial visit and a follow-up — a generous gesture on paper. But when I came in to redeem it, the tone and body language from the staff shifted the entire experience into something uncomfortable and, frankly, upsetting. From the moment I walked in, I felt judged. The dismissive attitude, the lack of warmth, the condescending way I was spoken to — it was all there. It was as if the staff had already decided I was trying to scam the system just because I was there with a free certificate.I couldn’t help but feel that underlying this behavior was a racist assumption — that I was Black and therefore trying to get something for free. Whether consciously or unconsciously, the staff projected a level of hostility that made the environment feel anything but welcoming or professional. It wasn’t just what was said, but how it was said. The body language was closed off, the eye contact was evasive or challenging, and the helpfulness that you expect from a veterinary clinic was non-existent.It’s painful to have to write this, especially when all I wanted was proper care for my pet — something any pet owner deserves. No one should be made to feel like they’re being scrutinized or looked down on simply for walking through the door.I sincerely hope VCA Wellington takes a deeper look at how their staff treat people — especially people of color — and invests in real training and accountability. Compassion should extend to both pets and the people who love them.
Apr 14, 2025 · Amber Minor-TisdaleOver the past nine months, I have had the pleasure of working with the puppy veterinarian. They are exceptional in their professionalism, friendliness, and welcoming demeanor. They are also adept at addressing a wide range of questions that new puppy owners may encounter.
May 11, 2025 · Shant Dasi used to absolutely love this place until i started coming and the people working with my dogs is nodding out for minutes couldn’t barely talk it was a total mess This is not professional , it’s trashy and you lost a long time customer because of what i have witness at this location is sick. no dog owner should feel like this when having someone working around my animal when i’m paying out my own pocket start watching who you hire.
May 22, 2025 · kayla styeWas picking up my dog and had the unfortunate experience of coming across a manager named Josh. He was EXTREMELY rude and the way he talked to the other workers was disgusting! With the way he treats people I can’t even imagine how he’s treating the animals!!! The fact that he is a manager shocks me and if these are the type of people they’re allowing to represent their company I will no longer be bringing my business here. Ridiculous. Sad that the workers are such great people and a MANAGER can ruin the whole experience.
