Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital Reviews
My big little friend is very reluctant to let anyone groom or pick at her to the point of impossibility. Having a dog on my own, navigating Veterinary structure, and finding a place that wouldn't scare her was a ball of stress yarn. We gave it a shot here when she was just about 2 and I've never gone anywhere else. Recently she went in for surgery and they took the stress yarn right out of my hands. I feel safe with her there and I believe she does too. Very good people who do an excellent job
Apr 12, 2025 · franki grilloEarlier today, I called to speak with someone on Dr. Rayburn’s staff regarding questions I had after receiving an email from my pet’s insurance company. The email followed a medical records review, and I wanted to briefly discuss their findings to clarify a few things. I was told that Dr. Rayburn could give me a call at his earliest convenience or I could schedule an appointment. I chose to wait for a call back, as my questions were quick and specific.Shortly after, I received a call from Vanessa, which initially caught me off guard as I was expecting to speak directly with Dr. Rayburn or someone able to provide more insight into the matter. I explained the situation to her and she began reading my pet’s medical records back to me, which I had already reviewed previously during a prior call. I then forwarded the insurance company’s email to her so she could see exactly what I was referring to. Their assessment inaccurately cited pre-existing conditions, which I believe was a misinterpretation of the doctor’s notes.Rather than helping to clarify or offer support, Vanessa responded dismissively, stating that “it’s only a year,” and that she didn’t know what Dr. Rayburn could do because his notes were thorough. I simply asked if she could check with Dr. Rayburn to see if he would be willing to provide a brief letter to the insurance company clarifying the discrepancy.Throughout the conversation, Vanessa’s tone was condescending and her comments felt degrading. This wasn’t the level of care or professionalism I expected—especially considering Dr. Rayburn’s excellent reputation, which is part of the reason I’ve trusted his care for my pet. This is not my first interaction with Vanessa, and while our previous encounter was acceptable, it was also somewhat strained. However, today’s call was extremely disappointing and left me feeling unheard and dismissed during an already stressful time.I’m sharing this feedback in hopes it will be taken seriously. I believe Dr. Rayburn is a wonderful vet, but his support staff should reflect the same level of professionalism and compassion. Thank you for your time, and I hope this concern is addressed internally.
Jul 18, 2025 · Crissy HenryDo Not Take Your Sick Pet to Vetco. They Only Care About Money. If I could give zero stars or even negative stars, I absolutely would.I’m heartbroken and beyond frustrated with Vetco. My cat has been experiencing wheezing attacks for months. When the symptoms first appeared, we took her to Vetco, hoping to get answers and relief for her. They briefly examined her, said it might be a bacterial or viral infection, gave her antibiotics, and sent us home.Nothing changed. We returned for a follow-up visit, genuinely worried. They charged us over $700 for blood work, cultures, and x-rays. Over a week later, they finally called with results: inconclusive. No explanations, no urgency, just more confusion.Still, we kept trying. We brought her in a third time, this time armed with our own research. I suspected feline asthma, which perfectly matches her symptoms, confirmed by videos, veterinary sources, and cat health forums. When I shared this with the vet, they dismissed it outright, claiming the x-rays ruled it out. Then, instead of compassion, I was met with attitude because my sick, scared cat bit a vet tech during the visit. She’s been suffering for months, struggling to breathe, and all she gets is cold handling and dismissiveness?Eventually, they offered steroids to “mask” the symptoms and said they would refer us to a specialist. But even that was a battle. I had to ask multiple times for the referral. And when I finally got through to the specialist, they asked me for information that Vetco never gave me. So I had to go back, once again, just trying to get answers and help for my cat.Vetco doesn’t care about your pet. They care about how much they can bill you. If your animal is truly sick, please, take them somewhere that will treat them like more than a price tag. My cat deserves better. Yours does too.
May 27, 2025 · Shaunie EllenDr. Rayburn and his team are amazing! I live about 40 minutes away with numerous vets between my home and this Vetco office but I will happily drive to this Summerlin Vetco to see Dr. Rayburn and his team any day! He diagnosed and currently treats my sweet cat for FHS and she is thriving! The whole team is helpful and flexible! They are kind and take good care of my fur babies when I bring them in! Thank you!!! I won’t take my 3 fur babies anywhere else!
Apr 19, 2025 · Tiffany NayThese ladies here are all phenomenal! From the front desk, to the vet techs down to Dr.Martinez! My pup Marty has always been over excited at the vet and Dr Martinez was so sweet about explaining why Marty has these symptoms and how we can prevent it in the future. They were also very informative about giving my dogs allergy medicine, which is cyto point and taking that at the same time as his shots as it can cause a blood infection as a side effect. It was much appreciated to understand the severity of the situation and to know that they cared enough about my baby to let us know that especially as a first time customer this will be our permanent event from now on and once again, I appreciate all those ladies that helped us out today!
