For pet parents across Maryland, ensuring the health and well-being of our furry family members is a top priority. Regular veterinary care is crucial, and finding a convenient, reliable, and affordable option can make all the difference. In Laurel, Maryland, the Vetco Vaccination Clinic offers a focused approach to essential preventative pet care, making it easier for local residents to keep their beloved cats and dogs healthy and protected.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic specializes in a streamlined range of services designed to address core health needs without the overhead of a full-service animal hospital. This model often translates into more accessible pricing, which is a significant benefit for many families balancing pet care costs. While they don't handle emergencies or complex medical issues, their role in providing routine vaccinations and preventative treatments is vital for community pet health.
Understanding what to expect from a clinic like Vetco is key. They are typically set up within larger retail environments, such as Petco stores, providing a familiar and convenient location for pet owners already accustomed to visiting for supplies. This integration aims to make preventative care a less daunting task, fitting easily into regular errands.
However, it's also important for pet owners to understand the specific scope of services offered. While focused on vaccinations and preventative measures, the quality of interaction and thoroughness of care can vary, as highlighted in some customer experiences. This emphasizes the importance of clear communication and advocating for your pet's needs during any veterinary visit.
In the following sections, we will delve into the specifics of the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Laurel, including its exact location, the services it provides, its key features, and how to get in touch. Baltimore Avenue (US Route 1) is a major thoroughfare running through Laurel, connecting various communities within Prince George's and Howard Counties. Its prominence means the clinic is relatively easy to find and reach by car from different parts of Laurel and the surrounding areas. The presence of a suite number suggests it is part of a larger commercial complex, likely with ample parking available, which is a significant convenience for pet owners arriving with their animals.
For those relying on public transportation, accessibility would depend on local bus routes along Baltimore Avenue. Major roads like this often have bus stops in the vicinity, offering an alternative for those without private vehicles. The clinic's location within Laurel makes it a practical option for residents of this growing Maryland community, as well as those in nearby towns like College Park, Beltsville, and Silver Spring, who are looking for routine pet care services.
Its strategic position on a main road within a popular commercial zone underscores Vetco's goal of making preventative pet care as convenient and straightforward as possible for local Maryland families.
- Routine Vaccinations: Core and non-core vaccinations for dogs and cats, essential for preventing common and serious diseases like Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella, and Feline Leukemia.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
Angie or Angela, whoever was checking people in was GREAT. QUICK, CLEAR, CONCISE. On the phone and in person. As someone in the military i GREATLY appreciated that. Dr McFarland and the other person were very informative and very nice to my cat Killer. Only reason I'm not giving all the stars is because I had a 320pm appointment but still had to wait 30ish minutes. Seemed more like a first come first serve walk in situation than an appointment situation. Great staff tho
Mar 24, 2025 · Lord ZachusVery bad experience today. Check-in clerk was very sweet. Unfortunately it went downhill from that. The vet tech nor vet took vitals for my dog. He was also not examined as he usually is the many other visits. We were waiting near the clinic area for about ten minutes even though we were the only people there. The vet and tech were in exam area EATING. Check-in clerk was eventually comes back with our dog’s prescription. I was slightly confused as every other visit, he was quickly looked over before given any medication or vaccine . I opened the vet summary email and read misinformation written by the vet (how she spoke to owner and I had no concerns.) that is false documentation as I did not speak to tech or vet about any concerns as I was never asked to come into exam area. I immediately went back to exam area and asked the tech (named Kae) why my dog was not seen by the vet. Tech was very unprofessional and short with me. Smirking and laughing as I tried to explain why I was concerned. Vet saw this and came over. Dr Petrovitch (vet) was also rude and said “I did not have to examine him. He was seen one month ago and has no heartworm. I only have to give him the prescription as I have a license for that” I explained to her she erroneously wrote on the summary that “owner had no concerns”. She sarcastically offered to examine my dog. I asked for the supervisor to report the tech and vet. I was given customer service number and awaiting a call back. I will also report the vet report incorrect licensing board for false documentation and unprofessionalism. VETCO please do better on hiring professionals. I came here many times and never experienced such behavior from a “doctor” and her assistant. We are paying customers and shouldn’t be treated like this.
Jan 10, 2025 · Lee DibabaThe Vetco Technician assisted me with examining my puppies paperwork, and explaining to me the process. They were very friendly and quite patient with my puppies and my girl pup (Mocha) barking the entire Petco down. The price point was acceptable and the overall experience of getting rabies shots was great! Thank you Vetco.
