Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Wareham is located at **2421 Cranberry Hwy #206, Wareham, MA 02571, USA**. Cranberry Highway (Route 28) is a major commercial artery in Wareham, making the clinic easily accessible for residents throughout Wareham and the surrounding communities in Southeastern Massachusetts.
Being situated on a prominent highway ensures high visibility and straightforward navigation, whether you're coming from within Wareham, or from nearby towns such as Carver, Rochester, Marion, or Bourne. The location within a retail environment also means easy access to other pet supplies before or after a visit. Vetco Vaccination Clinics specialize in providing essential preventative veterinary services, focusing on core health needs without the added complexity or cost of a full-service hospital. Their offerings are designed for efficiency and affordability. Here’s a detailed look at the key services typically provided by Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Wareham:
- Vaccinations: Their primary service, offering a full range of essential vaccinations for dogs and cats to protect against common and dangerous diseases. This includes:
- For Dogs: Rabies, Distemper (often in a combination vaccine like DHPP or DAPP), Parvovirus, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Bordetella (kennel cough), and Leptospirosis.
- For Cats: Rabies (including non-adjuvanted options like PureVax for feline safety), FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia), and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV).
- They offer 1-year and 3-year options for certain vaccines like Rabies and Distemper, depending on state law and previous vaccination history.
- Microchipping: Permanent identification for pets, which significantly increases the chances of being reunited with owners if lost.
- Heartworm Prevention: Offering prescription heartworm medication and necessary testing to protect against this serious parasitic disease.
- Flea & Tick Prevention: Providing various prescription flea and tick solutions to protect pets from external parasites and associated diseases.
- Parasite Testing: Including intestinal parasite screenings (fecal exams) to detect common internal parasites.
- Affordable Pharmacy: Access to a variety of prescription medications, including those for pest prevention.
- No Exam Fees: A key feature of their model is that you only pay for the services your pet receives, without a separate office visit or exam fee typically charged by full-service veterinary clinics for these specific preventative services.
- Wellness Packages: They often offer bundled packages for puppies, kittens, and adult dogs and cats, which can include a combination of vital vaccinations and tests for added convenience and savings.
It is important to note that Vetco Vaccination Clinics generally do not provide full-service veterinary care such as diagnostic workups for illnesses, surgeries, extensive dental procedures, or treatment for complex medical conditions. For such needs, they would typically recommend a full-service general practice or an emergency veterinary hospital.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Wareham, MA, offers several features and highlights that make it a distinct option for pet owners, especially those prioritizing specific preventative care needs and affordability:
- Affordable & Transparent Pricing: One of the most significant highlights is the clear, affordable pricing structure with "no exam fees." This makes essential vaccinations and preventative treatments more accessible to a wider range of Massachusetts pet owners.
- Convenient Location & Hours: Often situated within Petco stores, clinics like Vetco offer accessible locations and convenient operating hours, often including weekend and evening options, making it easier for busy pet owners to get their pets vaccinated.
- Focus on Preventative Care: Their specialization in vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention ensures that they are highly efficient and knowledgeable in these core areas of pet wellness.
- Licensed Veterinarians: Services are provided by licensed veterinarians and professional staff, ensuring that even though the service is streamlined, it is administered by qualified medical personnel.
- Walk-in or Scheduled Appointments: While some Vetco Clinics may offer walk-in services, their online presence often encourages scheduling appointments for smoother visits. This flexibility can appeal to various client preferences.
- Direct Payment for Services: The "pay for what you need" model means clients avoid the comprehensive exam fees often associated with full-service veterinary visits, appealing to those primarily seeking specific preventative shots or tests.
It is important for potential clients to be aware that while a single positive review mentioned "baby kittens" receiving good care, a detailed negative review highlighted significant issues regarding staff conduct, perceived lack of empathy during a pet accident, and unhelpful responses from employees. This suggests that while the services themselves are focused, client experience regarding staff interaction can vary.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
I didn’t have a service here but I brought my puppy in to get a toy. We’ve been leash training him and he has been doing so well so I wanted to bring him to get him a treat. He’s only 6 months old and it was his first time going into a store. (We had just came from a walk and he had 2 BMs). Well because it was his first time and he was nervous he had diarrhea in the floor. It was only a little bit at first so I asked the Vetco workers if there were paper towels/cleaning stuff. One worker showed me where it was. I started cleaning it (while still holding him on the leash which was difficult) but he had more diarrhea. After like the fifth time of getting more paper towels I asked the Vetco workers if they could just hold the leash. They all looked at me and no one answered. They weren’t with another customer/patient, they were just talking to each other and talking poorly about me about how “I should just take him outside” etc. like they’ve never had a dog have an accident in there before. I know he’s big but he’s still a baby and it was his first time. And sorry I wanted to clean up the mess before I left. It would have gone by faster if they could have just helped me for 2 minutes instead of talking s*** about me. I will never bring my dog back in there ever again because of them. The retail people were so much nicer and a nice couple actually ended up helping me instead.
