May 20 · Mikal KelaidisIt has taken far too long to post this review, but I'm finally getting around to saying how thankful I am for Dr. Oakley and the Veterinary Cancer Center. When our cat, Grey Davis (aka Dave) was diagnosed with stomach cancer (small cell lymphoma), we were filled with dread. We had already lost 2 kitties with the same diagnosis (Dave's mother and a litter mate), both of whom went downhill rather rapidly.Dr. Oakley worked with us to come up with a treatment plan that accounted for our limitations as caretakers (mainly that we have never had success pilling our cats). The vets and staff were always kind and compassionate and took the time to explain diagnoses, options for treatment, procedures, etc. When we moved away from L.A., one of the hardest parts was leaving VCG behind. Dave was already on the decline, and he passed away shortly after we moved.... But thanks to the excellent care he received, we got to be with him for nearly 2 years after his diagnosis, and for that, we are extremely grateful.
March 17 · Jeff Scott AllenSpecial thank you to DVM Valerie Wiles and staff, for the fantastic work, professional classy hard working, experts. Been a very long day, but the communication and treatment plan for my cats cancer is top notch, we are done w our appoi tents from out of town and are headed home. June 03 · F3ND1MUS REVIEWSMy family has had a terrible experience with Dr. Wiles and Dr. Oakley as well as their staff. When your pet gets diagnosed with cancer you hope to receive quality care and compassion. Instead we received judgement and poor care. Dr. Oakley is probably a fine oncologist but she lacks any sort of bedside manner with pets and their families. Dr. Wiles has shown racial and socioeconomic biases toward my family, on top of that she is incredibly condescending and not willing to work with patient’s families to find an effective care regimen.
July 23 · Max KimWorst place ever! Deserve no stars!!Told me my pet has cancer but not cancer at the same time, telling me to put my pet down as a first recommendation was an insult. I expressed no bloodwork or anything else at that time after hearing that but still persisted to get me to do them despite me saying no multiple times. Turns out my pets spine had a damage and wanted me to put down a pet that was still really full of life, want to fight and more to death???
