Veterinary Emergency Group

Emergency veterinarian service, Animal hospital ★4.0

1290 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30068, USA

4.0
I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s clean the staff are wonderful and they treat you like family. I’ve been to many emergency vets in my time and typically you hand them your pet and you sit on a cold hard chair praying and hoping for the best with only a brief meeting with a doctor. This place is the OPPOSITE of that. It felt like a real hospital. I was part of the care the whole time, I got to stay with my dog the whole time, and everything was explained in detail. They even brought me over during her procedure so I could see what they were seeing in real time. We had a room and I had a comfy couch to sit on. Thank you Dr Jarrell and your team! Poppy is doing great! - Lori Phillips

Veterinary Emergency Group Introduce

In a pet emergency, every second counts, and having a reliable, compassionate, and expert team to turn to is invaluable. For pet owners in Marietta, Georgia, and the surrounding areas, the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is a beacon of hope during what can be an incredibly stressful and frightening time. VEG is an emergency animal hospital that has revolutionized the standard of care by putting the pet owner at the center of the experience. Unlike traditional emergency clinics where you might feel separated from your pet, VEG’s unique approach allows you to stay by your pet's side throughout their entire visit, from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. This philosophy, combined with a highly skilled and empathetic staff, creates an environment that is as comforting for the human as it is for the animal.

VEG is dedicated to providing immediate and high-quality emergency medical attention for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, and even exotic animals. The team is comprised of experienced veterinarians and assistants who are trained to handle urgent situations with a calm and efficient demeanor. They understand that a pet emergency is not only about the animal's physical condition but also about the emotional well-being of the pet parent. This is why their model is designed to be completely transparent and inclusive. Every step of the treatment process is explained in detail, and you are actively involved in your pet's care. This open, collaborative approach builds a level of trust that is often missing from typical emergency vet experiences. Whether it's a minor incident or a life-threatening situation, VEG provides a safe, welcoming, and professional space for you and your beloved companion.

Veterinary Emergency Group is conveniently located in Marietta, making it easily accessible for residents throughout the region when an urgent situation arises. • Open Floor Plan: The hospital's open floor plan and the availability of comfortable seating, like couches in the exam rooms, contribute to a less stressful and more welcoming atmosphere for both the pet and the owner.
  • Compassionate and Attentive Staff: The staff, including doctors like Dr. Jarrell and Dr. Thomas, are consistently praised for being wonderful, kind, friendly, and treating pets like family. Their ability to explain everything in detail helps to empower the pet owner.
  • No Long Waits: A key part of their model is the ability to get in and see a vet quickly, with one customer noting they were in and out within an hour after calling ahead. This rapid response is crucial in an emergency.
  • Financial Transparency: The clinic provides detailed price sheets before proceeding with treatment, ensuring there are "no surprises on the bill." This transparency is appreciated by pet owners and helps to manage financial concerns.
  • Inclusive Environment: The hospital is identified as LGBTQ+ friendly and a transgender safe space, demonstrating a commitment to creating a welcoming and safe environment for all members of the community.
