Your pet’s oral health is directly connected to their overall health. Signs of dental disease include bad breath, loose, broken, or missing teeth, yellow or brown teeth, red, inflamed or bleeding gums, difficulty or pain when chewing, pawing at the mouth, and excessive drooling.
- Pet Hospitalization

- Pet Ultrasound
Ultrasonography is a type of diagnostic technique that uses ultrasound waves to produce an imaging study. This means that when we perform ultrasonography, we can see internal images of the patient’s body. Unlike some other imaging studies, like X-rays, ultrasonography does not use radiation.

- Veterinary Dental Radiographs
Digital dental X-rays allow us to detect if there is any disease beneath the gum line that we would not be able to see otherwise. We are often able to see undetected abscesses, broken teeth, resorbed roots, retained roots, and more thanks to dental radiographs.
- Veterinary Digital Radiogrpahs
X-rays are an important diagnostic tool used to identify what is going on within your pet. An X-ray allows us to look within the body for abnormalities that we would not be able to see otherwise. Radiography can be used to evaluate almost any organ in the body.
- Veterinary End of Life Care
Our doctors offer multiple modes of easing pain and adapting environments and care to keep your friend comfortable and by your side in their last months, and then we will be by your side as together we decide if kind, painless euthanasia is the gift that your pet needs.
- Veterinary Fecal Exams
Fecal tests provide insights regarding any intestinal parasites that may be inhabiting your pet’s body. The best way to detect parasites is by testing a fresh fecal sample for the parasite’s eggs. Treatment may vary depending on the type of parasite found, but it usually consists of oral medication.
- Veterinary Hospitalization
If you notice your pet dealing with diarrhea, vomiting, physical weakness, or trauma, we’re equipped to have them stay with us for extended care. While here, they will receive a full exam, be monitored by our veterinary team, and given the best possible care to get them back to perfect health.
- Veterinary In-House Blood Work
Blood work is usually a combination of a complete blood count (CBC) and a blood chemical analysis. Blood work is a basic evaluation tool. Pets, particularly those in their senior years, should have a CBC at every annual examination.
- Veterinary International & Domestic Travel Certificates
Depending on the destination, there may be vaccines or tests that are needed for your pet to enter the country. Every county has different requirements and different timelines. Unfortunately, these timelines and requirements also frequently change.
- Veterinary Routine & Emergency Surgery
We can perform almost any surgery your cat or your dog could need or find the right specialist to help with the operation. Our experienced veterinarians provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. We do occasionally refer cases to specialists.
- Veterinary Services
- Veterinary Urinalysis
A urinalysis test checks for levels of specific chemicals in your pet’s urine. Abnormal levels of certain chemicals can be a sign of particular illnesses. The urinalysis screens for imbalances that can be an indication of kidney disease, kidney infections, bacterial infections, and more.
- Veterinary Wellness & Illness Visits
During your annual physical exam, your veterinarian fully examines your pet and discusses vaccinations and ongoing wellness. Just like you have wellness visits with your doctor, it’s important that your pet does the same. During these visits, our team will spend time examining your pet.
- Veterinary Wellness Blood Work
Yearly tests will check your pet’s organ functions and help define the general health of your pet, including potential problems that are often not visible during a physical exam. Obtaining baseline blood work and a urine sample when your pet is healthy provides invaluable baseline information.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hands down… actually paws down… the best of the best! We LOVE having Dr. Blakelee Price as our primary veterinarian. All of the staff are very personable, extremely caring about your pet(s) and go above and beyond to make your pet feel comfortable and well cared for. Check-in is always warm and welcoming. We are very happy to ensure trust and receive professional and very nice care from all of the Providence Vet Staff. Thank you for all of your jobs well done!
August 26 · Mel VanI drive 20+ minutes to this clinic when there are so many closer. The entire practice is just amazing. Everyone is so kind and welcomed me when I adopted one of their “clients.” I absolutely love it here!! Nyla gives it 5 stars!
August 28 · Adrianna ZimmermanMy dog had his annual office visit & examination today with Dr. Price. She was fantastic! My dog was wagging his tail throughout, probably because he liked the treat. This visit included; Bordatella vaccination, DHPP for 3 years, Heartworm Test, and a Proheart heartworm shot good for 1 year. His K9 Rabbies vaccination is up to date from a previous 3-year injection. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. They also have complimentary coffee and flavored creamers, if you prefer, for the humans in your pet's life. The thing I liked about Dr. Price, although I didn't get a treat 🤣, was the time she had spent in going over what was going to be done during today's visit and thoroughly answering all my questions. Dr. Price also made it a point to make sure all my questions and concerns were answered and offered some advice and solutions to one specific question I had. Also, there was no pressure to buy any products or additional services which was very nice. There's nothing worse that being sold things that you don't need.If you have a new pet or are looking to switch veterinarians, then I would highly recommend Dr. Price and/or Dr. Horne at Providence Veterinary Clinic. Oh yeah... my dogs would too!#veterinarianmarietta #veterinarianeastcobb
March 26 · David JonesWe love Providence Veterinary Clinic. The doctors and staff are wonderful and genuinely care about our dog. They take time to thoroughly explain any needed treatments/medications. The prices are always reasonable and we never feel we’re being overcharged for unnecessary extras. Dr Price is our pup’s best buddy, but we’ve loved everyone we’ve seen at this practice. They have our full trust and appreciation. Highly recommend.
July 20 · Heidi MTook my dog Ace here for the first time and couldn’t be happier with the experience. He’s a pretty nervous pup, but the staff was incredibly gentle and patient with him—it made a big difference. The whole visit was impressively fast, from check-in to checkout, without ever feeling impersonal. Everyone was friendly and professional. Booking an appointment as a new client was super easy, which I really appreciated. Prices were very fair compared to my last vet. We’ll definitely be coming back.
