Veterinary Emergency Group Introduce
For pet parents in Georgia, few things are more frightening than a sudden, unexpected pet emergency. When a loved one is in distress, every second counts, and having a reliable, compassionate, and skilled team ready to help is invaluable. In Snellville, GA, the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) stands as a beacon of hope, providing 24/7 emergency and urgent care for pets of all kinds. Unlike a traditional veterinary clinic, VEG is built for the unexpected, with a team and facility designed to handle critical situations with speed and expertise. This is the place you turn to when a situation is too serious to wait for your regular vet, offering peace of mind at any hour of the day or night.
VEG is not just another emergency clinic; it’s a place that redefines the veterinary emergency experience. The entire model is built around the pet parent, offering a uniquely transparent and comforting environment. As one grateful client shared, "I just want to say THANK YOU! To all the staff here. No matter what shift or whose working you are All a tremendous group of people who care and it shows." This dedication is at the heart of their practice. They understand that a pet emergency is incredibly stressful for you as well as your animal. Their commitment to treating you and your pet like family is evident in every interaction, from the initial phone call to the moment you leave.
One of the most notable aspects of VEG is its open-floor-plan concept. This innovative design allows you to be by your pet’s side throughout the entire visit, from triage to treatment and even during hospitalization. As another reviewer eloquently stated, "They treat your dog like their own and even wrote a sweet poem for our boy." This level of empathy and inclusion makes a terrifying experience feel more manageable. It eliminates the anxiety of waiting in a lobby and wondering what's happening behind closed doors, allowing you to be an active participant in your pet’s care.
Conveniently located at 1850 Scenic Hwy N STE 100, Snellville, GA 30078, USA, the Veterinary Emergency Group is a central and accessible lifeline for residents across Gwinnett County and the surrounding metro Atlanta area. Situated just off Scenic Highway, the clinic is easy to find, which is a crucial detail when you are in a state of panic with a sick or injured pet. It is a vital resource for communities like Lawrenceville, Lilburn, and Stone Mountain.
The facility is committed to being accessible to everyone. They offer a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom, ensuring that all pet owners, regardless of mobility, can seek the care their animal needs. As an emergency service, VEG operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unlike a traditional vet, no appointments are necessary. You can walk in at any time, day or night, and an emergency-trained veterinarian will speak with you immediately. This immediacy is a cornerstone of their service model and a testament to their dedication to urgent care.

When a pet emergency strikes in Georgia, why is Veterinary Emergency Group the best choice? It's their radical and compassionate approach to urgent care. Most emergency clinics are structured like traditional hospitals, where owners are separated from their pets. VEG’s model, however, recognizes that the emotional well-being of the pet and owner is crucial during a crisis. By allowing you to stay by your pet’s side, they reduce stress for everyone involved, which can lead to better outcomes. This transparency and constant communication help you feel in control and well-informed during a frightening time.
Furthermore, their specialization in emergencies means their staff and equipment are always prepared for the worst. They handle complex and critical cases on a daily basis, and this experience is a significant advantage. Their ability to treat exotic animals also fills a critical gap in veterinary services. For Georgians, knowing that there is a 24/7 facility that combines top-tier medical care with unparalleled compassion and a patient-first philosophy provides the ultimate peace of mind. As a client said, "If your pet ever needs care, GO. TO. THIS. PLACE. You won't regret it!!" This is the kind of trust and confidence that only a truly exceptional service can inspire.

July 28 · christina gainesTo the amazing staff and doctors who helped us save our sweet boy… we are forever grateful! Chico had an intestinal rupture and I honestly am not sure how He made it. I credit his amazing recovery to this place and especially Dr Dennis who operated on him and saved both his and our lives. Everyone who works here are truly angels and basically treated us like family members for days straight. They treat your dog like their own and even wrote a sweet poem for our boy ❤️ Thank you so much to everyone we came in contact with. Your kindness was unmatched. If your pet ever needs care, GO. TO. THIS. PLACE. You won’t regret it!!
May 12 · Callie LloydOur dog Dobby got bit by a snake. I called and the team was very caring and was ready when we walked in. They were very attentive to Dobby and to everyone there. I love the fact we were with our Dobby the whole time and have the option of staying the night with her. The staff is amazing and very loving to all animals and everyone that walks in. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our Dobby. She is doing fantastic and has recovered fully.
July 05 · Jennie WischmannI went to multiple vets when my cat suddenly lost function in her legs, and each place I visited felt more focused on money than actually helping. But when I walked into VEG Snellville at 10PM on July 2nd, everything changed. From the moment we arrived, the staff did everything they could to figure out what was happening with my baby, Drizzy. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely compassionate—talking to her sweetly, treating her with care like she was their own. They didn’t rush, they didn’t brush anything off, and I truly felt seen and supported during a moment of complete heartbreak.Although I ultimately had to make the difficult decision to put my girl down, I know in my heart that the VEG team exhausted every option possible given the situation. It wasn’t the outcome I hoped for, but I am at peace knowing they did everything they could.Thank you, VEG Snellville, for going above and beyond in such a painful moment. I’ll never forget your care and kindness. And I’ll love my Drizzy forever.
July 03 · Robert JonesWe came in late on a Wednesday night after having to wait for an hour at another hospital and they immediately began attending to our baby Oscar. He was having some symptoms of parvo and they took so many precautions to make sure he couldn’t spread it in the hospital if he did have it. He tested negative, thankfully, and they were able to figure out what was going on and take care of our sweet boy. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely cared about Oscar which was so reassuring. Oscar normally hates to be taken away from us but was literally just following after them to go to X-rays or anywhere else and we even saw him wagging his tail getting belly rubs in the x ray room which was surprising. We LOVED it here but more importantly Oscar received the best care and was so comfortable the whole time he was here. I cannot say enough about this amazing staff! Thank you all so much! ❤️
