★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was looking for a new veterinarian, for my 2-year-old German Shepherd. I was nervous because she is a big dog and we had a bad experience before. From the very first phone to Veterinarian General Inc., I felt at ease. They reassured me that they had somebody there who was good with German shepherds, and they were amazing! They were so patient with her and they were really good at explaining everything to me. I highly recommend this place.
May 14 · Christina MeltonThey are wonderful here. We had been using another vet up until our dogs turned 11. After an emergency visit, we never turned back. Our Roxy passed at 14 and her brother is 14 year olds and 10 mths. Australian Shepherds. Dr. Barta, Dr. Lisa N, all the vets are very thorough & staff is great too. Prices are very reasonable & I'm so glad we found them! They always return calls very quickly as well!
January 26 · Jeanette JohnsonWe have been seeing Dr. Barta since we moved here 14 years ago, with two dogs and a cat, plus another cat we added along the way. He has seen us through routine medical care, progressive and chronic illnesses, tricky pharmaceutical protocols, worked with specialists on our cases, and has helped us let our babies go with grace and compassion. In all cases Dr. Barta has been knowledgeable, practical, kind, and compassionate. We are grateful to him and the staff for always being helpful and keeping our pets’ comfort in mind as we made our way through lots of different and sometimes difficult situations. We appreciate you, Vet Gen!
August 02 · Eileen SongerFantastic vet! My poor 10yo kitty has had a skin condition forever that other vets told me was "just how it was", nothing we could do. On our first visit, they immediately zeroed in on her skin and gave me solutions to try. She's looking and feeling better than ever! Thank you!
May 30 · Brian PeckTook my 4-year-old black cat to veterinary general for routine yearly exam. The first visit I was turned away for my cat being too aggressive and prescribed gabapentin and was told to bring him back in a couple days after he was drugged up. I Gave my cat, Archer, gabapentin two hours prior to his second veterinary visit. The doctor, knowing my cat is more high-strung, walked in the room with a group of three people and immediately tried to grab my cat instead of trying to take it slow and try to see if he would calm down. Within 30 seconds of being in the room, advised that the only way he was willing to do a wellness check is if my cat was fully anesthetized, told me that this wasn't a good fit, and kicked me out of the clinic. This clinic will only see your cat if it doesn’t move a muscle. The vet has no way of dealing with cats with any personality. I’ve taking my cat to multiple other vets over the years and he has never had to be drugged up to be seen by a vet prior. Stay away from this horrible clinic. And the floors and dirty like they haven’t mopped in weeks.
