★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Recently moved to the area from out of state. I had received the okay from our home vet that my trio of senior dogs were all in good enough health to make the multiple day road trip. We weren't sure how much longer we would have with our 17 y/o miniature dachshund, but we decided to give her a final last adventure. Coco had fomo. She had two forms of cancer and was nearing her final chapter. Shortly after settling into our new home, we woke up one morning to issues with her eye that stemmed from the ocular cancer. I knew it was time to say goodbye and wasn't sure where to go because our appt with our new vet to establish care wasn't for another week. I read the reviews for VSC and called them in the early hours of the morning. I called a couple of other vet hospitals in the area as well, but VSC gave the best impression. We brought her in for an assessment which sadly ended in euthanasia. The process was so peaceful. The team there was extremely kind and considerate. They talked through all of our options (which were limited, to be expected) and we made the heavy hearted decision to say goodbye. Again, they were wonderful. We had brought the other two dogs of our bonded trio. They were able to be present for the process so they could say their goodbyes. The team offered us a larger more comfortable room for our crew. We were given plenty of time and didn't feel rushed in the slightest.I was worried about saying goodbye to my girl at an unknown facility. Now I know that VSC will be our go to for any emergency vet visits we may have in the future. This week we received a condolences card from Dr. Alex and the team. It was an unexpected gesture that meant a lot.Dr. Alex and VSC team, thank you again for caring for Coco and our crew during her final moments. We appreciate you.
July 24 · KThe doctors and care team were exceptional at VSC. My dog was in critical condition and they used every method necessary to save him and they did. They were thoughtful and honest with me and used aggressive treatment to make sure they could keep him alive. So very fortunate to have had access to their great minds and caring nature.
August 06 · Meghan SwansonWhen I take my dog to Veterinary Specialty Care, I know that he's receiving the best possible care. I also appreciate that I rarely have to wait around for a scheduled appointment. They always spend time with my pet and answer all of my questions. My dog loves this place!
August 25 · Susan JacobsonVSC saved our 9 week old puppy, Hugo's life after being diagnosed with a bacterial infection that caused sepsis in his joints. He spent 6 nights there where he required 24/7 care. They created a mobile crib for Hugo and took him on rounds with them because he was in so much pain and so needy as puppies tend to be. Dr. Wicker sent me pictures and updates throughout the middle of the night and continued to check on Hugo even after discharge. Desiree and Dr. Armentano also went above and beyond, creating an individualized plan of care to ensure Hugo's transition home would be a successful one. Anytime I called with questions or concerns, I received communication in a timely manner. All the staff at VSC contributed to getting my puppy healthy again and back at home where he belongs! VSC made an incredibly stressful experience, the most comfortable it could possibly be given the circumstances. They welcomed us every time we came to visit and were very transparent and communicative with updates and realistic expectations as we navigated through the diagnostic process and into the treatment plan. Thank you VSC for your miraculous skills and dedication to the animals and families you treat and care for!
July 14 · Heidi SteinikeWe’re grateful to Vet Specialty Center for their care and support with our dog, Alice. They took the time to answer our questions and helped us understand what was going on with our pup. Thanks to their thorough testing, we were able to clear Alice’s bordetella infection and also learned through her CT scan that she has choanal atresia. We’re now exploring next steps and truly appreciate the team, especially Dr. Little, for guiding us through it all with kindness and expertise.
