★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- We are forever grateful to the incredible team at VSS for saving our sweet dog Charlie’s life. He required emergency surgery for a blockage and oxygen therapy to treat pneumonia—two very serious conditions that hit all at once. Charlie’s five-day stay was a roller coaster of emotions—filled with hope, fear, progress, and setbacks. We were fortunate to be able to visit Charlie during his stay, which brought us a great deal of comfort. Seeing him, even briefly, made a huge difference during such a stressful time. The front desk staff and techs were always polite and understanding. That said, waiting to hear directly from the doctors could sometimes be challenging, especially when emotions were already running high. We understand how busy things can get, and we truly appreciate every moment they took to speak with us.We can’t thank you enough for giving us more time with our boy. July 14 · Dan Shayne
- Our journey at VSS began in 2020 with Dr. Mark Anderson and the surgical staff during COVID. My German Shepherd exhibited signs of hyper extension in her front leg, which required further evaluation. We were referred to Dr. Mark Anderson by our veterinarian. It was already incredibly hard that as a pet parent, I was restricted from entering the building and being with my dog during her initial examinations and future appointments during the Covid period and what became quite a long journey. I was at incredible ease from the first phone call I received after she was evaluated by Dr Anderson and I knew that this was going to be the best specialty clinic for her to be treated at for her condition. The amount of patience and understanding and flexibility that his staff exhibited and the compassion that they constantly showed us over the next two years is something that will never be forgotten. Fast forward to April of 2022, The nation was still in a state of Covid restrictions and my incredibly brave girl’s body had gone through a fusion in her front leg, had weekly visits with the most amazing care and support, but her body had other plans and she became a tripod. Having a major life changing surgery done at a time all you could is watch her go in the door on four legs and come out on three legs was a lot, but I would not have chosen any other place to have taken her. VSS goes above and beyond still to this day as we celebrated Schatzi’s 3rd “Amp”uversary to keep in touch and be there for anything we may need. On top of that, she is able to continue physical therapy in the same building where we see her surgical staff from time to time. They are compassionate, humble and accommodated every quirk your typical German Shepherd would throw at them. They communicated effectively, followed up and are thorough. I am so grateful for the choice I made to work with Dr. Anderson to give Schatzi the best life she deserves. He truly puts his patients first and has a top notch team. Trace Schniers and Sarah Green did amazing with Schatzi and were comforting staff members throughout the process from start to finish. Having familiar faces each week we were there during COVID restrictions helped or when there were happy tears or bad days, they go above and beyond at their jobs. April 20 · Kim Cooper
- I can’t say enough wonderful things about VSS and their entire staff. We had quite the scare with our sweet dog Katie. I rushed her in after she was having difficulty breathing. They got us in quickly and figured out what was going on. The vet was so empathetic and kept me updated on how she was doing. The techs and front desk staff were so kind and helpful. I felt they all truly cared about my baby and took care of her like she was their own. I was able to take her home after a two day stay, and I am so appreciate of everything they did for my girl. I hope you never need an emergency vet, but if you do, I HIGHLY recommend VSS. You couldn’t ask for nicer people and your pet will receive the very best around the clock care. August 16 · Susie Ulrey
- Thank you VSS for your kindness and knowledge during one of the hardest moments of my life. My 12 year old dog was unexpectedly in critical condition and upon arriving at VSS, they rushed him in and quickly treated and diagnosed him. We had to say goodbye to him shortly after and it was a heart wrenching decision to make. I could see it in her facial expressions that the doctor who treated him knew what a horrible moment we were in. She was gentle and patient with us the whole time. April 24 · Sarah Lewis
- I brought our senior boy Max in because he was sick. From the moment I carried him through the door to the moment he crossed the rainbow bridge, the staff were nothing but supportive, compassionate, and kind.Thank you for helping me through one of the most difficult moments any pet owner can face with such care and grace.
