Watauga Veterinary Hospital Reviews
My family has patronized Watauga Veterinary Hospital since it was opened. Dr. Newlin was the most kind and compassionate vet and we were blessed to have him care for our animals. He always worked us in if we had an emergency. Unfortunately I have not had that luck with this new staff. Twice I have needed this office to see my dog on an emergent basis and was not helped. This morning was the last straw. My beloved lab needed help. I called the office and explained her situation and was told there were no appointments available. They only had one emergency appointment and it had been booked. The girl that answered the phone told me the best she could do was for me to call back in the morning and see if they had anything. I don’t need an appointment tomorrow. I needed it today. I lost my best friend today. I fortunately found a vet who would see her and helped her cross the rainbow bridge. Dr. Fair is a great vet. If you have an appointment. But don’t depend on being seen when it matters the most.
Apr 01, 2025 · Annette FoxThese guys have always been so kind to my baby and they do all exams in front of you. I am not used to that and the comfort of seeing everything they are doing is so nice. I would never know what my babies went through when they are taken to the back. They are such a great vet office to work with and I will be sticking with them while I live in Boone. Their prices are reasonable but if your baby is prescribed human drugs take them to Boone Drug as it will be MUCH cheaper. Please take my advice there:)
Jan 14, 2025 · Rachel CrombieDr. Fair has been great to our dog, but she is out on maternity leave and our dog had a big problem today. The rude staff would not see our dog which was an emergency and they said they only had 1 emergency appt. and it was taken at 7:30am. We got an appt. with the pet care clinic and long story short we put our dog down today. The doctor at the pet care clinic, Dr. Watson was so kind and CARING through the whole process. Thank you to Dr. Watson and staff for showing concern and compassion. To Dr. Fair's rude staff SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe you need to get a heart and show some compassion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to think about going here, This is not Dr. Newlin's office any more , who was and is a great Vet and Man. Shame on you STAFF now, I would not take my pet to this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apr 01, 2025 · ben foxBeing from a big city it was refreshing meeting a vet who actually really love animals. She actually sat on the ground and gave him peanut butter. He didn't even know he was being examined or receiving shots. Will be going back and would recommend.
