Appalachian New River Veterinary Associates Reviews
We want to give our deepest thanks to Dr. Cathy Kreis and the entire team at Appalachian-New River Veterinary Associates. Over two days, we spent hours in an exam room searching for answers and, ultimately, saying goodbye to our sweet kitty Abigail. Through it all, Dr. Kreis, Savannah, Mel, Sarah, Tina, Ayla, Neva and the rest of the team treated Abigail with such kindness, love, and affection. Their care, understanding, and grace moved us beyond words.Saying goodbye was incredibly difficult, but knowing she was in the hands of people who truly cared brought comfort. The length of time you gifted us during both visits meant everything. We will always be grateful for the compassion you showed to Abigail and to us in her final days. Thank you for everything...Again, the time you gifted us with her...Thank you!
Mar 28, 2025 · Cody Michael HendersonI got an appointment immediately for my dog, Jack. He was seen quickly and evaluated by Dr McAdams. We were given the appropriate medicine for his condition. Jack quickly recovered and Dr McAdams called to check up on him. It's so reassuring to have a place to take your beloved pet when he's not feeling well.
May 22, 2025 · Niki CraigMy neighbor recommended New River and I’m very grateful after a horrifying experience with Boone Animal Hospital. After visiting BAH for a simple dental procedure, my dog is now blind. The licensing Board found their medical notes to be so poorly written, they were unable to determine the cause of blindness. They had all sick dogs together that day and my 8 year old Westie has suffered tremendously with ears, blindness, skin infection etc.I found New River to be the opposite. The animals are totally separated from each other, the facility is clean, professional, and reasonably priced. I am grateful for a diagnosis and a game plan going forward and would highly recommend New River Vets!
Mar 15, 2025 · Proverbs 31Took my Scottish terrier puppy here after a bad experience at another vet and I could not be more pleased!!!! I was met with kindness, valuable knowledge, and felt like my pup was in safe, caring hands! I could not recommend this vet enough. The doctor was with us for a half hour and answered all my questions so thoroughly. They played with my puppy, made sure he felt safe, and gave him a good exam. An incredible experience start to finish!
Mar 11, 2025 · Madison SharerWe were very pleased with the attention and concern at this facility. My 4 year old dog has always been anxious about being administered medications and vaccines. With the care of the vet and vets assistant she didn’t even notice she was being given a shot which made for a super happy and stress free experience for both of us. I would highly recommend taking your animals here for a great full service! Thank you guys for taking great care of us and making our questions and concerns feel welcomed!
