Caldwell Animal Hospital Reviews
We’ve been coming to this vet for about 4 years now. We have cats and dogs, and have received a variety of services here. We’ve had a dog who was treated (and survived) Parvo, we've had a multitude of wellness and vaccine visits, follow-up seizure care, and mostly recently a spay for a female dog. They are always so kind and caring. The vet techs here are phenomenal!! I don’t know if they know this, but when you take an animal out of the room, you can hear EVERYTHING they say from inside the room and me and my husband are always smiling and laughing over how excited they get when they’re taking care of the animals. They seriously love all animals there and they are so sweet to them and talk to them the whole time they’re being assessed or treated. We don’t have a specific Vet we see, so we’ve seen just about every Vet in the office, and I have no complaints about any of them. We keep coming back here because we’re comfortable with the care and treatment they provide, and that’s so important to us. Thank you for everything you do!
Jun 21, 2025 · ShaylynHave been a client with Caldwell Animal Hospital for years. Dr Whisnant has always been there for us from the beginning of her career. Last visit was with newly adopted little dog with (thought broken hip/leg). Thank you for your compassion and consideration for both the animals and owners. You have always and continue to serve with honesty and integrity—even when it would be more profitable for you.Thank you Dr Whisnant.Hate to see Dr Rivera leave—he was fantastic also.
Jul 04, 2025 · Linda NadeauGreat vet! I live on the road with short stays and they worked to fit me in for my puppy to get spayed even though she’d be a new patient. All the staff were so friendly and gave great communication. My puppy healed great.
Jul 25, 2024 · Samantha BowieTerrible experience. Before leaving this review, I scrolled through others and saw that many people had gone through similar situations—it’s just as bad. The vet herself was extremely rude and didn’t seem genuinely focused on helping Rusty Boy, our 2-month-old kitten. Instead, it felt like they just wanted to rush us through and charge us.We were billed for a fecal check, an X-ray, a vitamin B12 shot, and digestive health supplements—totaling $500. To top it off, when we asked about the appropriate age to neuter our kitten, we were immediately “informed” that one testicle had dropped but the other hadn’t. They told us to come back in two weeks for a check-up or they’d have to surgically search for it.After reading more reviews and talking to other vets, we’ve found that this diagnosis is often exaggerated or completely false. As far as we can tell, rusty’s boys seem perfectly fine
Jun 10, 2025 · Timothy ThackerWe have brought our sweet Lilly here 8 years. Almost a year ago she was diagnosed with kidney disease but recently she ended up with pancretitis. They suggested shots that cost over a thousand dollars and made us believe there was hope by doing them. She declined so fast after I Almost wonder if it didn't do more damage. On 3/7 this past Friday I called the office at 7:30 to arrange to have her put to sleep due to her declining and pain. I was scheduled at 9am to bring her in. At around 8:30 I left a voicemail and canceled due to finding a vet to come out to our home which I left in this voicemail as well. Since then they have not contacted us over her checked to see if we did lay her to rest absolutely no contact. All the week prior I had left two voicemails requesting a call regarding her declining. I guess my point is the dissatisfaction on human curiosity and care goes a long way when you've put trust in a facility for 8 years. Lilly has passed so we want be bringing her in any longer or leaving voicemails to not get a return call until we have had to reach out several times demanding a call. We deserved better communication and so did my sweet girl. This experience truly made me feel is more about the money than the care. Every visit the price would be different for the same thing. Medication went up drastically charged me 50 to put fluids in and didn't even send the bag home with us just to add fluids over 50 dollars. A bag of fluids at Chewy 10 bucks here almost 40 bucks. Just really crazy what we experienced but we was trying to do everything possible to help her. Thank you for not reaching out just goes to show how disheartening people are.
