Jun 20, 2025 · NICOLE RODRIGUEZDO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE — Animal abuse and terrible attentionI bought a baby lovebird at Simba Pet Shop and it turned out to have a deformity on its legs. The little bird couldn't walk well, and after investigating, I realized that it had splay legs, something that happens when they are not given a non-slip surface while they grow.I spoke to the owner, Luis, and he aggressively told me that he did not accept returns, even though he only had the bird for 2 days. I explained that I was taking good care of him: proper surface, heat lamp, feeding him 3 times a day. I even bought another little bird at Buba Pet and that one is completely normal. The difference is evident.Luis blamed me, he told me that I raised his blood pressure by talking to him about this, and when I went to the store like he told me, he wasn't even there. The employee put me on the phone with him and he blamed me again.I already called the Department of Animal Services and Inspection to report the case. The animals here are not well cared for. Don't buy here. The owner does not care about the animals or the clients.
Apr 13, 2025 · Dariel DiazI saw my husband buy a baby lovebird at Simba Pet Shop with all the excitement in the world. Just two days later, the little bird could barely walk. We thought it was because he was so small, but he turned out to have a deformity (splayed legs) caused by not being raised with a proper surface. Total negligence on the part of the breeder. When my husband went to talk to the owner, Luis, he treated him rudely, saying that he didn't accept returns and that it was all his fault. After only 2 days with the little bird, My husband had done everything right: warmth, food, care... he even bought another little bird from another store that is perfectly healthy. The difference was clear.Luis even told him that the pressure increased on him to complain. And when we went to the store the next day, as he requested, it wasn't even there. The employee called him on the phone and Luis blamed him again without taking any responsibility.Seeing my husband so frustrated for wanting to do the right thing was frustrating, in short we will continue giving him love and trying to make him improve but we will not go back there.
Apr 13, 2025 · andrea bastidasI have read a negative comment regarding the attention and the quality of the pets offered,... and perhaps that happened under the previous administration BUT NOW, under a new owner, I tell you that it is a change from night to day.The quality of the store environment is amazingly spectacular,…the cleanliness and quality of the pets is second to none. The prices and quality of the food is comparable to the PetShops I know.Actually, if you want to make firewood from the fallen tree,….the change was 180 degrees.
