I recommend against going for cat grooming to this location. Total waste of time. She didn't seem to care for her job. I could see from the start she was not going to take care of the job. Sure, enough 40 min later she calls me to pick up my cat because of whatever excuse that I don't even remember. Take your pet to Peninsula Center pet hospital. They completed the job without excuses in first time and cost half the Petco

And he referred me to Trevor, which was a horrific mistake. He was very rude and dismissive, and everytime I asked a question about the products, he seemed to be agitated, and basically said..."I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR DOGS, AND HOW THEY WOULD REACT, I HAVE NO IDEA!!" He kept talking really loud and I felt very embarrassed. I felt as though if I talked in a low monotoned voice he would stop talking loud, so he wouldn't continue to cause the other customers to stare at us!! I had my dogs with me, so I thought it would be easier to obtain information from a professional, which wasn't the case. When he rudely insisted that I buy the higher priced item, and I declined, he then told me to get out of his store, and he would no longer help me!! I felt mortified, embarrassed, humiliated!! I have lived in RPV for 14 years, and have spent thousands of dollars at Petco, and never experienced the level of this humiliation!! Their staff would benefit from getting extensive training in diverse customer service!! I would hate for others to be subjected to the same degradation!!

Tried to buy a betta fish and was absolutely interrogated by the employee about my tank size, etc. In such a rude way, and he said it was their “policy” to ask all this. I had my handicapped mother waiting for me to “run in” and was in a rush to get back to the car. Being held up and interrogated was not part of the plan! I have owned multiple bettas over the course of 20 years, many living for 3-5 years. I am an experienced owner! Turns out this is NOT a company policy at all. NO ONE offered me any help while I was in the store, just this interrogation at checkout. This same employee grilled me about an item I bought for my kitten a while back, and treated me like I was an idiot. (Was bottle feeding a rescue- not my first time- and was buying her formula, he tried to push me to buy the wrong item at checkout) I won’t be returning here.

Her rudeness and obnoxious behavior were shocking, as she displayed a complete lack of manners. It was evident that her attitude was counterproductive, seemingly aimed at driving customers away. Due to this unpleasant experience, I have decided not to return and will instead purchase my dog food from Pavilion in the future.
May 28, 2025 · Marvin GodfreyWaited for 10 minutes in the fish department for help and no one every came. The cashier in the front texted her coworkers and even made an announcement on the PA system. Isaac came out but when I asked for help he looked and then walked right by. I am so disappointed by this action. My husband and I always talk highly about the place. Especially since the manager has gone above and beyond with my cats and the guy usually in the aquatics section goes above and beyond as well when it comes knowledge and advice for any questions we have.
