Acupetvet: Veterinary Rehabilitation & Acupuncture Clinic specializes in a range of alternative and complementary therapies focused on improving pet mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. Their services are particularly beneficial for pets dealing with orthopedic injuries, neurological issues, geriatric conditions like arthritis, and post-surgical recovery.
- Veterinary Acupuncture: This involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the pet's body to stimulate healing responses, reduce pain, inflammation, and improve blood flow. It is effective for conditions like arthritis, back, knee, neck, or shoulder pain, neurological problems, and aids in post-surgical recovery. Acupetvet offers weekly loading sessions (4 sessions over 4 weeks) followed by maintenance sessions (monthly).
- Laser Therapy (Photobiomodulation): Utilizing Class IV High-Intensity Laser Therapy, this non-invasive treatment projects a modified laser beam to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and speed up healing at a cellular level. It is often used in conjunction with acupuncture treatments.
- Rehabilitation Therapy (Physical Therapy): Similar to human physical therapy, this aims to enhance strength, balance, and weight-bearing abilities. It involves targeted physical therapies and exercises to improve mobility and reduce pain for pets recovering from injuries (e.g., ACL/CCL tears), surgery (e.g., TPLO, CBLO), or managing chronic conditions like arthritis and hip dysplasia.
- Home Exercise Programs: Providing pet owners with easy daily exercises to perform at home, ensuring continuity of care and empowering owners to actively participate in their pet's recovery and long-term well-being.
- Pain Management: A multi-modal approach to managing both acute and chronic pain, often integrating Gabapentin with acupuncture and laser therapy, to improve comfort and mobility.
- Nutritional Consultations: Offering advice on appropriate diets and supplements for pets, crucial for overall health, longevity, and managing specific conditions, including weight loss and management.
- Palliative Care: Focused on improving the quality of life for pets with chronic or terminal illnesses.
- Geriatric Care Plans: Specialized attention for senior pets, addressing age-related conditions and promoting comfort in their later years.
- Neurological Rehabilitation: Helping pets with conditions like spinal cord injuries or nerve-based pain pathologies regain coordination, balance, and muscle function.

Acupetvet: Veterinary Rehabilitation & Acupuncture Clinic Reviews
Scout tore both his ACL and his meniscus last year and we decided to forgo surgery and more forward with PT due to his advanced age. We had a great experience with AcuPet and they helped increase his stability and mobility, ensuring that he has a better quality of life for his remaining years. The service is expensive but we were able to lean on our pet health insurance, so we definitely suggest investing in that prior to moving forward with PT. We are grateful to the lovely women of AcuPet for their guidance and support!
May 21, 2025 · Caitlyn WindersMy 14 year old kitty had a CCL tear (cranial cruciate ligament) with meniscal damage in her left hind leg earlier this year. She was not a candidate for surgery, and my vet recommended rehab treatment with Acupetvet instead. Dr. Wilson has worked wonders in helping my cat.I was initially so impressed by the set-up, which is clearly designed with cat comfort in mind. Cats have a separate entrance and the treatment room has a couch and ottoman with a window overlooking a bird feeder, no scary exam tables. My cat is extremely skittish, she does not like strangers or being away from home. Dr. Wilson is so mindful of letting kitty set the pace during our visits. Dr. Wilson even does the treatments from the opened top of the carrier so that my cat is able to stay inside the whole time. She stays still and seems very calm every time; she doesn't react to the needles at all! What worked for us: two months of weekly acupuncture, laser therapy, easy daily home exercises and Gabapentin for pain management. I also placed pet steps around my home to help her access all of her favorite high places without jumping. She went from having a severe limp and a lot of hesitation with movement to being able to jump, play and gallop around my home again. I truly didn't think it would be possible for her to ever run again. We now see Dr. Wilson monthly for maintenance acupuncture, which seems to help my cat's pre-existing arthritis in her back, in addition to her knee.I had no idea what to expect from acupuncture and laser therapy for cats, but I have been shocked at how much it accomplished. I highly recommend Dr. Wilson and the Acupetvet team.
Dec 06, 2024 · Steph OeserHuge thank you to the entire staff at Acupetvet. They have been pivotal in one of our French Bulldog’s IVDD recovery.Dr. Wilson, Lynn and Nichole are knowledgeable, kind, attentive and professional. Couldn’t recommend Acupetvet enough for your pets rehabilitation needs!

May 14, 2025 · Aidan GriffinOur Sadie girl was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia 2 1/2 years ago when she was 5 and had surgery this past March. After her recovery she was doing well but was still weak and unable to run and play like she used to. Her surgeon recommended PT and hydrotherapy so after doing some research, I reached out to Acupetvet and they were AMAZING from day one. Sadie started with PT and hydrotherapy with Lynn weekly for 12 weeks and gained so much strength and confidence back we were amazed! We decided to start incorporating acupuncture with Doctor Wilson about 8 weeks in and are continuing with one session of acupuncture monthly to maintain her strength. Sadie LOVES it there so much and actually pushes me out of the car to go in:) They are so patient and kind and compassionate with her and I can’t tell you the difference it has made. Sadie is truly a different dog now and back to where she was before her diagnosis. She is running and playing and keeping up with her 8 month old (75 lb) german shepherd brother and so happy again. I can’t recommend Doctor Wilson and Lynn or Acupetvet enough and would do it again in a heartbeat with the results we have had.
