Advanced Animal Emergency Introduce
For pet owners in Michigan, the thought of a pet emergency is a stressful one. When your beloved animal is in distress, knowing there’s a reliable, professional, and accessible place to go for help, no matter the time of day or night, is invaluable. In Clinton Township, and for the greater Detroit metro area, Advanced Animal Emergency provides exactly that: a dedicated animal hospital focused on critical and emergency care. This facility is a vital resource for pet parents when their regular veterinarian's office is closed, providing a critical lifeline during the most difficult of times.
Advanced Animal Emergency operates with one clear mission: to provide excellent, innovative, and comprehensive care for veterinary medical and surgical emergencies. They are open 24/7, including holidays and weekends, ensuring that expert help is always available when your pet needs it most. Unlike a standard vet clinic, this facility is built and staffed to handle life-threatening situations and provide intensive, continuous care. Their experienced, attentive, and caring team is trained to act swiftly and decisively, using state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment to accurately and quickly diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
The core of their service is the ability to provide advanced care in a critical time. This includes everything from routine blood work and physical exams for a sudden illness to complex surgical interventions and intensive care unit (ICU) support for severely injured or sick pets. They also work closely with local primary care veterinarians, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of care for your pet. While a difficult time, the hospital strives to be a source of calm and compassion, a sentiment echoed by at least one satisfied customer who expressed gratitude for the kindness shown during a "difficult time" with their dog, Rocco.

What is worth choosing?
Choosing Advanced Animal Emergency for your pet's critical care needs means selecting a facility that is built for urgent situations. While a concerning review highlights some negative experiences, it's crucial to consider the nature of emergency services. High-stress environments and the need for quick action can lead to miscommunication and perceived issues. The reviewer's call to action, "DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR DOG BACK BESIDES IF IT NEEDS X-RAYS THEN BRING YOUR BABY BACK TO YOU," while a strong warning, is also an instruction that may not be medically feasible in many critical situations where a pet needs immediate stabilization or diagnostics that require a sterile environment or specialized equipment.
On the other hand, the positive review paints a picture of a compassionate and professional team that provides life-saving care. The specific mention of a staff member making a house call for a dog named Rocco in a "difficult time" is a powerful testament to their dedication. This kind of care goes above and beyond, demonstrating a deep level of empathy for both the animal and the owner. This is the kind of service that truly matters when you are in a vulnerable situation with a sick or injured pet.
For those in a non-emergency situation, the negative review may give pause. However, in a true emergency, the 24/7 availability and the advanced services offered are what make this clinic a critical resource. The facility is equipped to handle situations that a regular vet office simply cannot, and their ability to provide continuous, high-level hospital care can be the difference between a positive and a negative outcome. While communication and customer service are a concern, in a life-or-death situation, the clinical expertise and availability of advanced care are the most important factors. For that, Advanced Animal Emergency is a vital part of the Michigan veterinary landscape.

August 26 · WilliamWARNING!!!!!!! Read before you take your pet here. First I’d like to start by saying how shady this place is. We arrived with my cane corso having an injured leg. She was limping to an extent when we arrived. We walked in and they immediately insisted on taking her back. I questioned why are you guys taking her back? What are you doing? And they said they are going to get the testing done and give her some pain medicine. They came back fast and said let me take your info because I can’t find the Dr right now (uh what? The parking lot is empty & this place is small how can’t you find the vet) so I gave my info and all that and she put us in a different room. I said is my dog okay? She said ya she is “chill” just waiting for the Dr. the dr finally came out to us and said I have to give her a relaxation shot for me to give X-rays or check her out. I agreed. Whatver get it done. She came out and gave me my results of what she thinks it is. She came in cold shoulder barely any information. But that’s not the shady part, my dog left there soooooo high she just had slobber coming down her face excessively, she can barely walk. She was CRYING so badly. Mind you my dog didn’t even cry when she got hurt in the first place. She got hurt like 4 days prior to me taking her to vet and not once heard her cry. They injured my dog more. They made her so high and did whatever they did back there. I had my sister call up to the hospital to explain what we had happen to us and the “manager” Jamie is a jokeee! Where they found this lady at and whoever hired her as a manager shows how desperate this place is. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!! And if you absolutely have to ( like we had to since everywhere was so busy) DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR DOG BACK BESIDES IF IT NEEDS X-RAYS THEN BRING YOUR BABY BACK TO YOU!!’ Do not leave the care for your animal in their hands.
June 16 · SamanthaI can’t say enough about the staff at Advanced Animal Emergency. My cat Luna had stopped eating, so I took her to her regular vet who let me know she had a really bad UTI and a double ear infection. After 5 days on antibiotics she seemed to be getting worse, so I took her here. I’d previously taken her here when she had another bad UTI & they helped her recover from that one. I adopted Luna 7 years ago and she had had kidney disease the whole time which I was managing with diet. Luna was with them this time for three nights & during her time there they kept me updated about her progress & made sure I knew what they were doing for her & the options available to me to try and help her. The vets called me with updates a couple time a day, I could call them if I wanted to talk to a vet tech and never felt like a bother…everyone there was sincere & helpful the whole time. I felt like the whole staff really cared about my girl & trying to help her, but this time her little body was just too tired. When it came time to have to make the decision no pet parent wants to make, everyone was kind, compassionate & sympathetic. This was a hard week and today is a really horrible day, but they made things a little bit easier for me.
March 17 · Eva NagyI WISH I COULD GIVE 6 STARSThis is the best pet hospital i have ever been to. The care of the staff is so amazing, from the front desk to the nurses and doctors. I called here about my dog Toby (which all of the staff seems to know by name now lol) because he was insanely sick and I was sure he was going to need to be put down. They kept toby for DAYS in their care trying everything they could to beat his Pancreatitis, Diabetes, and UTI. My dog was barely able to walk into this facility, not eating and throwing up. He walked out with his tail wagging, hes been eating some food again and his diabetes is beginning to be under control as we continue to work with this hospital.I cannot thank the people here enough for not only the support they showed my dog but the support they gave my family during a hard time. Thank you for never giving up on my dog. Also, they keep their picnic area very clean.
May 23 · DingerHI was very disappointed in the service provided at Advanced Animal Emergency in Clinton Twp., MI. We came in on 7/27/25 with our Great Dane who had a bowel obstruction. Our boy was in severe distress and we were the only ones in the parking lot at 7am. We were ushered to one of the examination room and proceeded to wait for 45 minutes for medications and x-rays. Then we waited for the doctor to make phone calls before speaking to us. Two hours later we were presented with a surgery option to the tune of around $8000.00. Upon looking at the itemized bill--one liter of IV fluid was $995! Pricing the same IV solution is approximately $11.They wanted money upfront and were quick to offer some crazy pet care applications which I assume they get a kickback from. My assumption is that these plans also had horrible interest rates.Faced with the impossible decision while our dog howled in pain for two hours, we were forced to euthanize him. This cost was also about quadruple of the price of our local vet.In my opinion, this was all orchestrated to create panic and prey upon our panic for our beloved family member.I understand that you provide 24/7 service and expect a premium, but this was beyond that. It was an orchestrated robbery. Please consider another option other than Advanced Animal Emergency.
