★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My experience with Animal Health Group on the Boulevard…3:00 appointment - waited over an hour before seen by vetReceptionist - told older woman who requested to use the lavatory that they were too busy and couldn’t unlock the door for her. She then directed the woman to go to the store next door and purchase a water so they would allow her to use their facility. Turns out, this poor woman was with her family who just put their pet down.Seriously?? There is no excuse for this. Busy, X-ray in progress, whatever. Shame on her!The vet tech who first examined our kitty was professional and empathetic.Dr. Colon , the vet that examined our kitty, was professional, very kind, informative and handled him with the utmost tenderness. Too bad she wasn’t the one to oversee/administer his meds. It was my understanding that a vet would be present during such procedures.Pamela, the vet tech who mishandled our kitty, seriously needs to be trained in how to treat and prep cats for injections. In all the years I have been a cat owner, I have never, ever experienced the manner in which he was handled. My daughter requested that she hold him during the injections, which every other vet we’ve seen has allowed, but Pamela said no because it would be a liability. She could have had us sign a waiver. Instead, she showed zero empathy. From the rough handling, completely covering him with a towel, forcefully pushing his face into the table, to using her weight to pin him down, her behavior was totally unacceptable. Pamela then forcefully lifted him by the back of his neck to put a pad in his crate since he was traumatized and defecated. Adult cats should not be picked up like that! Our kitty is a 15 pound sweetheart. He was petrified. We have never heard him scream like that. My daughter and I left that office in complete shock! I advised the tech who called the following day to have the owner check the video footage to see that I am not over reacting.Obviously, we will not be returning.
August 27 · Lori GalWe had a great experience at our first visit last weekend. We had to choose a new vet after our previous clinic closed. Everyone at the Animal Health Clinic—including the vet, the assistant, and the front desk clerk—was very helpful, efficient, and kind. They were all so friendly to our dog Dougal, who was excited throughout the visit. They even followed up with a call afterward to check on him and see how he was doing post-vaccination.
July 13 · Nilar ThwinMy cat, Sylvester, we call him Chubby bc he loves to eat (!), really ENJOYS his visits to this vet/clinic bc he loves the people. The vets are very nice and patient. The staff who greet us and meet with Chubby are wonderful. When the visit is over, Chubby does not want to leave! Highly recommend!
January 18 · Cynthia MonWe love the Vets & staff at Animal Health Group! They are warm & friendly, explain everything thoroughly, and the facility is very clean. 10/10!
June 09 · Kristen GottardiThis place is filled with the kindest and most compassionate staff! They worked with me when my cat was very sick and they did everything possible to make my cat’s quality of life 1000% better. I got updates during my cat’s surgery and they were very clear about costs and were extremely reasonable and kind. They were also very sweet about how nervous I was and kept me calm.I will always take my pets here no matter what because it is truly a place filled with love and kindness 💗
