I took my pup for a nail clipping at this establishment. My pup has been turned away by several places who would not clip his nails citing he was non cooperative. Dr. Rodriguez , William and Liz ensured me they could get it done. I was nervous and concerned it couldn’t happen. To my relief they worked quickly and professionally. They knew how to calm my pup and work expeditiously to get the job done. I’m so grateful and relieved to know this place exits with such professional staff. Highly recommend. - Lucy Jones

This address places the center conveniently in a central part of Staten Island, making it easily accessible for residents across the borough and potentially from nearby areas of New York and New Jersey. Clove Road is a well-known artery on Staten Island, ensuring straightforward navigation to the facility. Its position allows for convenient access whether you are coming from residential neighborhoods or commercial zones. As a dedicated veterinary center, parking options are typically available on-site or nearby, facilitating hassle-free visits for pet owners transporting their animals. It is important for potential clients to note that recent information indicates a change in their operational status at this specific location, with services now merging with Staten Island Animal Hospital on Willowbrook Road as of March 3, 2025. This ensures continuity of care for existing patients and a new location for future services.

Features / Highlights

CompleteCare Veterinary Center has earned a strong reputation among New York pet owners for several compelling features and highlights, even as it transitions to a new operational model:

  • Highly Professional and Compassionate Staff: A consistent theme in positive reviews is the exceptional professionalism and genuine care exhibited by the entire team. Customers praise individuals like Dr. Rodriguez, William, and Liz for their ability to handle challenging situations (e.g., non-cooperative pups for nail clippings) with skill, speed, and calming techniques.
  • Dedicated and Understanding Doctors: The veterinarians, including Dr. Lukas and Dr. Sangiorgio, are celebrated for their expertise and compassionate approach, particularly during difficult times such as a pet's cancer diagnosis and treatment. The sentiment that they "worked quickly and professionally," knew "how to calm my pup and work expeditiously," and were "so caring and understanding" highlights their commitment.
  • Thorough Follow-up Care: The clinic's dedication extends beyond the initial treatment, with clients specifically mentioning "countless follow ups from the entire staff" post-operation, which provides immense reassurance and support during recovery.
  • Successfully Handles Challenging Cases: The ability to perform a "cancerous tumor successfully removed" and manage a "non cooperative" pup for nail clippings demonstrates their proficiency and patience with a wide range of pet behaviors and medical complexities.
  • Strong Client-Patient Relationships: Many clients express deep gratitude and loyalty, feeling "forever in debt" to the staff for saving their pet's life or improving their well-being. This indicates a high level of trust and satisfaction built over time.
  • Commitment to Pet Welfare: The staff's consistent treatment of pets "like they are their pet" underscores a deep-seated commitment to animal welfare, beyond just clinical duty.

However, recent public information indicates a significant change related to the "parent company":

  • Parent Company Actions (Destination Pet): Recent customer feedback expresses "beyond livid" frustration with Destination Pet (the parent company) for "shutting this location" without adequate notice. This action, including allegedly "shutting their phones off," has caused significant distress and reflects poorly on the corporate management, despite the excellent local staff. This is a critical piece of information for New York pet owners to be aware of, as it indicates a corporate decision affecting the physical location and operational continuity, even while the excellent staff may be transitioning to the new merged practice.
