★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hey I just wanted to shout out Animal Hospital of Western Springs. They SAVED my cat. He ate something he shouldn’t have and it was stuck in his intestines, he threw up like 6 times in 10 hours and by the next morning he was lethargic and not wanting to leave his house. I called my regular vet because that’s where I take all of my pets and they couldn’t see him. In all the years I’ve had my pets I’ve had three emergencies and their regular vet would never be able to see them (even though they take emergency visits👀) they are always booked up. The first time I had an emergency (my dog chipped his tooth) they referred me to the animal hospital of western springs. It was 20 minutes away from house so I took my dog there. The next two times they referred me to an emergency vet hospital in Chicago. I remembered Western Springs and called and they took them in the same day. They saw my cat within the hour, they talked me through everything. They showed me his X-rays, the lab work. They gave me all of my options and they talked me through all of them. What would have cost me about thousands and thousands at an emergency vet hospital cost me half at Western Springs. Dr. Ernesto Perez literally saved my cats life, he made sure to call me right after the surgery to give me updates, the hospital sent me pictures of what was going on when they did the surgery, and they saved the object he swallowed so I could see it. I picked my cat up after two nights and they were always willing to answer my questions. If I had concerns I would give them a call and they always reassured me. He just got his stitches out today and he is doing so much better. The staff is super friendly and they treated me and my pets with so much kindness. If you didn’t read all of this (understandable🤣) just know this, Animal Hospital of Western Springs saved my cat’s life and has always been there for me when I have pet emergencies. They are affordable and the staff is friendly and kind and the Dr. Perez does amazing work. It’s 20-25 minutes from my house but that drive is worth it to get my pets seen by this place.Dr. Perez, and everyone there at Western Springs, thank you for saving my Michi.
February 22 · Ivonn GalvanMy pets liver results over a year ago were at 138. I did testing with another vet. I came to this clinic for the first time a month ago, and it was 167. After they prescribed EXPIRED MEDICATION, and we used it not knowing, the results DOUBLED. Stay far away from this clinic!!! After we came back to confront them after prescribing expired medication TODAY AGAIN, they took the bottles. They are all about the money, they do not care about your pets health! To be clear, the medication purchased(1 of 2 recommended) , was given to us twice, both times expired. In addition to that, the previous veterinarian ( their employee ) told us to try 1/2 prescribed medications for a month and come back to test again, and if results are better, not to use another one at all.
March 22 · Mirna CobicChunkys first time due to a emergencyIt was a good experience, Good staff, great doctorDoctor took the time to explain chunkys condition and explain the treatment plan.It was affordable so that’s a plus ⭐️
September 05 · Erika OlguinMy experience here was very stressful. I had a senior dog of 16 years that I wished to have groomed because of her age the vet suggested to put her under anesthesia and she might not survive. 500.00 was the amount the veterinarian wanted to charge. Unfortunately I didn't have that much as I sat there with my heart in my arms crying the last thing he said to me was, how do you wish to pay. I walked backed to my car with my dog( she was family) she passed away that evening and with money I had for the grooming I had her cremated. I'll forever miss her.
October 12 · Margaret MirandaDr. Perez was the vet to my mother's cats for many years. During the pandemic he did house calls for her since she was going through cancer treatments. She sadly passed away in 2023 and I have taken over the care of her senior cats. Her 19 year cat had ongoing kidney disease and took a turn for the worse over the holidays. We knew it was time to end her suffering. She is a very fearful cat so we greatly appreciated that Dr Perez offers in home euthanasia. Dr Perez assured us we were making the right decision, and explained the process before and during. He and his assistant were both very comforting during this difficult time and we truly appreciated their compassion. Since then Dr. Perez has helped another of our senior cats with an acute allergy attack that ended up requiring medical intervention. Not only is Dr Perez's extremely intelligent and a great vet, he is a kind person, and the costs for his services I found very affordable. Thank you Dr Perez!
