Mar 15, 2025 · Stephanie WorshamFirst and last time. I made an appointment for my dog who is experiencing a pretty severe dermatological issue. What started as a decent appointment, quickly became gross disappointment. Dr. Lilian Herron’s defensive demeanor could only be trumped by her lack of competence.Besides the unnecessary manhandling of my dog (who began shaking after the third Lilian room re-entry), besides the inability to explain why antibiotics would be helpful for a diagnosis that she repeatedly said is allergies, besides her inability to actually observe specific skin areas of concern, besides her wildly unprofessional tone when I refused some of the unnecessary medications prescribed, besides her tech’s inability to tell me how long the steroids were to be used for, besides the over 2 hrs we we were stuck in the room for no reason at all, besides $400 vet bill which is cheaper than it would have been had I opted in for *all* the medications prescribed for a problem that the vet could not explain, besides her condescending tone *toward* my dog for being scared of her every time she pulled him out from under the bench, besides her coming back into the room to ask me how I plan to treat my dog if I am not going to let her put antibiotics in his ears, besides her inability to explain the recourse following antibiotics for gastrointestinal issues, besides this cat that sounded like it was dying outside our door (hope you get out of there, little buddy), besides my specifically asking “How do you know that it is bacteria?” and her answering, “Because there is infection,” (...what?)... To throw antifungals, antibiotics, and steroid darts at any living thing is a lazy way to perform medicine – not to mention harmful in the long run, though a decent way to establish chronic cycles of withdrawal for the animal, and a solid business scheme. My dog has what looks like a small puncture wound, with a black cyst visible – at best she might’ve side-eyed it, regardless, she said, “it could be anything,” and left the room to either sedate a cat or grab anti-somethings. Hard to say.Regardless, if I wanted to wait around for 2 hours, belittled and reprimanded, I would have just waited to go to my next family reunion, but my god. At least my Italian folks don’t charge $400 for it, oof.
Jul 04, 2025 · Wheatley PoseyAbsolutely amazing. Been bringing my cat in for about a week now, no appointment, first time in. She has diabetes and having severe health complications for it. They took her in right away and have been kind, professional, caring, etc. since!
