ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic - By Appointment Only Reviews
My initial experience at this location was great! I was greeted warmly, allowed into the exam room and was kept informed step by step with the process and what was going to happen/ expect for my pet during the visit.Today I did not have that same experience. While I was greeted warmly upon arrival, my interactions with the caregiver (Kylie Ayers) was not pleasant. I was told that only my dog was needed in the exam room and that I was not allowed in, but I could look through a small slither of a window. But the staff stood in front of the window preventing me from seeing inside. I was not given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the care, health and wellbeing of my animal, and was basically called a liar when I asked why wasn't I invited into the exam room like I was on the last visit. The edifice is clean and the reception staff are wonderful, but this interaction has changed my view of this establishment and has me considering taking my pet elsewhere where pets and owners are welcomed and comfortable. Just because the services are free doesn't equate to treating people poorly. I'd rather patronize a business that treats me well. Also, this place only provides limited services. Not all vaccines are provided here and they don't do bloodwork.
Jul 03, 2025 · Eugenia BuckmonMy cat was very ill and suffering. I made an appointment to have her euthanized but she passed that morning 😢. We said our goodbyes and brought her to the Brooklyn ASPCA. They were so kind and gentle. A week later I received an envelope in the mail. I opened it and there was a sympathy card and 2 little vials of my cats fur and her paw prints. A flood of tears came down like Niagara Falls. I really appreciate those keepsakes. Thank you so much 💓.
Jun 26, 2025 · Stacy WatkinsThis place was absolutely amazing and gentle with helping me say goodbye to my beloved tortie cat, Royal. Her cancer got too much for her to bear and they did the procedure free of charge. They were so kind and caring throughout the process, and provided services for grief counseling as well. If I am to get another pet, I will be bringing them here for regular vet visits. These people are angels!
Jun 19, 2025 · Mandy PadillaThe staff here are truly remarkable; their passion for animals is palpable. You can see it in the way they interact—every gentle touch and soothing word reflects their genuine love and dedication to the animals in their care.
Jun 30, 2025 · Cyn MarieThe ASPCA should be ashamed of themselves. I'm disabled & living on low income. I have a sick elderly cat, & I can't get any help from the ASPCA. The Brooklyn ASPCA will not see me because I don't live in the zip code their clinic is located at. How does the ASPCA limit residents in Brooklyn according to a zip code,? I remember in the 70's & 80's when the ASPCA was located on State Street in downtown Brooklyn. Anyone from anywhere can come in & adopt & get animal health care. Now the ASPCA is willing to help only a handful of people, yet they often air commercials asking for donations. Why should anyone donate to an Organization that only wants to help a handful of people? I have called the ASPCA relentlessly since last week Friday March 7th 2025, & all I received is a recording saying that their appointments are all booked and they have no appointments available. It's March 12,2025 & I am praying that I can find a low cost clinic that I can afford that will see my fur baby Tom.
